*** *** *** Unfortunately there are some inconsistencies with this complaint #We take cash, all credit cards and checks for payments although we don't like to accept checks #This lady was refunded the full amount of the refund she is entitled to, #
This lady called the owner "a racist pk" for no reason whatsoever and no communication will be accepted from this lady in any fashion ever againNo one cursed at her as she claimed #The *** *** *** *** had to escort this out of control, crazy person out of the store after she threatened employees and told her she was not legally allowed to come back #We try hard to offer excellent services at great prices but some people are impossible to deal with- and this Shenika Johnson of Peoria is one of them #No further action will be taken by the company in regards to this complaintWe wanted to help this person--she made it impossible--so we are done Thanks, *** the owner

I am rejecting this response because: I have attached texted messages of our correspondence this does not satisfy

Unfortunately this complaint is incredibly lengthy and I don't have the time to read it but I can respond generally to the situation brieflyI WANT to help this customer but unfortunately the customer has failed to provide the title to the travehicle from the original saleThis actually
constitutes breach of contract and I have been instructed by the Secretary of State Police that this can be considered felony fraud and I am trying to resolve this without having to file that with their officeI have left messages for the customer asking him to please contact me or bring the title in so that we can complete the transaction but he is not respondingIt has been weeks nowI want to conclude our business and inspect the vehicle that he purchased from me (their is something little wrong with it--and want to make everything right) but have been told not to do anything due to his failure to deliver the title to the travehicleI want to help but cannot with the current circumstancesThis is unfortunate because things can be made right I believe but I don't seem to be given that opportunity to do soBoth vehicles are sitting at my business "in limbo" and nothing can be done with them and the customer is accruing a $per day lot storage fee on each vehicle so things are getting worse not betterThank you, David

*** brought in a year old Spickup that wasn't running wellHe says it was running well in his complaint but literally the day before that his engine had overheated because it was running out of coolant and we put coolant in it for him so unfortunately right from the get go he isn't being
honestHe asked us to do a tune up which was spark plugs and wires because the engine was misfiring and not running smoothlyAfter completing the tuneup the vehicle wouldn't start due to its major compression leak stemming from head gasket or head problems and coolant leak and someone had put stop leak in the radiator which damaged the radiator and engineThis is not uncommon for a vehicle to react unfavorably to new parts when it has a major problem or issue(If you put a new heart in someone with clogged arteries the new heart still won't work right.) These repairs were going to cost almost a thousand dollars to fix - and that was the cheap route which we couldn't guarantee would fix itWe don't have X-ray vision and we can't exactly determine what the problem(s) may be on the inside of an engine until it's apartWe knew it had a gasket leak but it was also possible there was a cracked head or that the timing was of* said he didn't have the money and asked if I would work off the payment with him in exchange for him doing some home improvements on my houseI said I would consider it but expressed to him that the motor was severely damaged and that it might need a new motor which would be even more moneyHe said he wanted to fix it as cheap as he could and that again, I stress, HE COULDN'T PAY FOR IT AND WOULD I PLEASE TRY TO FIX IT AND DO A TRADE FOR LABORWe spent over weeks working on this vehicle trying to get the old motor to work properly and I put on over $in new parts at my own expense to fix itIt just wouldn't run rightI didn't charge *** for any of this additional work or partsWe had other outside mechanics even try to help us figure out a way to fix the engine cheaply without replacing it but nothing work(I have photos of the abused condition of the motor.) When I told him we couldn't do any more work to it or spend any more ***e without payment he had the vehicle towed to another spot where they were able to salvage it and get it goingAgain, I didn't charge him anything and could have kept the vehicle until he made payment for the work we did do but I didn'tI lost thousands of dollars on this job and it seems comical to me that he thinks we did something wrongWhen you have a vehicle that is junk, damaged and defective there are limitations as to what can be fixed and when he didn't have any money to pay anyway I was trying to do him a favorHe knew the vehicle had problems when he brought it in and that's why he had asked us to do the tuneup in the first place "hoping" that would fix it and it didn'the was clearly made aware the vehicle had major problems and begged me to fix it basically for free and I did what I could to "patch it up" but it wasn't working and I'm the one that lost in this scenario.Sincerely,*** ***OwnerEast Peoria MotorsE Washington StEast Peoria, IL

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/10/12) */
This is an 18 year old vehicle with over 165,000 miles on it that was sold for approximately $2400. It ran great the customer test drove it. We sell inexpensive vehicles that aren't necessarily perfect but we do try to sell a decent running...

older vehicle at a good and fair price. Our customers are welcome to take the vehicles for further inspection by another mechanic. Further, the federal government requires us to post a document in the vehicle called a Buyer's Guide that tells consumers a vehicle like this has no warranty of any kind. We have a signed copy of this document with the customer's signature so they were clearly informed. ALL THAT BEING SAIDwe like to try to make our customers happy and we would have inspected the vehicle and attempted to work out a favorable resolution for making any necessary repairs HOWEVER this guy yelled at us, was blasting us on facebook, screamed at my secretary, and then had other people post lies about us on facebook and other websites. Due to his rudeness and disrespect we have not offered any assistance. Legally I don't have to offer discounted or free repairs to an older used vehicle like this but ALWAYS HAVE IN THE PAST BECAUSE I CARE ABOUT MY REPURTAION AND MY CUSTOMERS. I have sold over 200 vehicles in 2 years and this is the ONLY sales related complaint I have ever had. If this customer would have acted decent instead of being rude and hateful and writing horrible things about us on facebook this all could have been handled nicely. It's called manners. To close I just want to comment that the claims they are making that are "wrong" with this vehicle are absurd. The vehicle ran well, it was safe, it handled nicely and they knew it when they test drove it. Seems they are out for something for free or just looking to try to get some sympathy for no reason. It's a shame. Had he handled this appropriately the outcome would have been wholly different. If the customer wants to a) apologize to my secretary, b) remove ALL of the ugly and rude and dishonest posts on all websites, and c) come in and act like a decent human being than I will inspect the vehicle and discuss repairs and resolution. I will not refund any money or cancel the State of Illinois vehicle sales contract.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/10/23) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
First I would like to respond by saying that I did not get rude until I was told that I would not get my money back and that he would not fix the vehicle. I am sorry if my kids posted things on facebook but that has nothing to do with me since my youngest is Thirty. I am sure they were very upset because I am unable to work and I took the little bit of money that I had left to buy this vehicle that I would be unable to drive. I am not lying about the shape of the car I had two estimates on it and both stated that it was unsafe to drive and that it would cost close to a thousand dollars just to make it safe. I will be happy to show these papers to anybody that would like to see them. I drove the car for a few days until I was told it was unsafe and the mileage will prove it. Actually the car is sitting in my parking lot and I am unable to move it because the key is stuck in it.This man says that we are low life but I beg anybody reading this to go to his website and see how he responds to people who pot complaints on it. That will tell you exactly what kind of person he is. I was shocked that he would talk to a customer like he does. What I put on his website was the truth and nothing more or nothing less.
