The only contact that I have received from RC Towing is for him to tell me he was not at fault and I asked him if he drops cars in the middle of the road and he said they doI asked him not to contact me againI also called *** and told him that I didn't want RC towing call me and he said he could ask him not to call me againHe sees very threatening to me. On 2/10/2016, we got a call from *** *** *** (at *** *** *** ***), that a customer had left a vehicle on their facilities for over six weeks without returning their calls or contacting them whatsoeverThus, they needed the vehicle removed from their premises and we proceeded
with a private property impound on the above mentioned dayOn 2/22/2016, we processed a lien through *** *** ***By law, we can claim back fees on an impound for up to daysThe sole reason why the lien was processed on the 2/is because the above mentioned lien company was closed on 2/for President's Day holidayMr***, the owner of the vehicle, called us to enquire about the vehicle, claiming that he was not aware that the vehicle had been towed from *** *** ***, explaining that he had been out of town for a few monthsWe proceeded to inform and explain to Mr*** about the situation of his vehicle and how it ended in our possessionAt this time, we also offered him a settlement for $450.00, as we had no interest on his vehicle whatsoeverNevertheless, Mr*** declined the offer and proceeded to make an unreasonable complaint to the Revdex.comAs of today, fees owed on the vehicle are as follows: $for the tow, $for lien process, days of storage at $per day $2255, for a total of $Yet, Mr*** is more than welcome to pick up his vehicle today for the reasonable amount of $850, as we repeatedly state that we have no interest on his vehicleConsidering the fact that this deal represents a $loss to our company, we are providing, once more, a more than fair deal for the customer to pick up his vehicleIf Mr*** still does not agree to this deal, his other option is to surrender the title of his vehicle to our company, in order to avoid further collection actionIf there are any further questions, you are more than welcome to contact us.Also, attached to this email is a copy of the invoice from when the vehicle was picked up, authorized and signed by *** *** ***

It does not make a difference with the settlement anymore since the lien cleared todayFor future reference, tow companies do not go out and tow vehicles from private properties without previous authorization from the premise or property managementEverything has been done legallyTow companies do not call owners of private impounds because we have no access to their informationCustomers are responsible for where they leave their vehicles and are responsible of calling the tow company in case their vehicle has been impoundedWe take pride on doing things the right way and giving customers a chance to take their vehicles, as we have no interest on keeping them

Good afternoon,In response to this claim, our driver's statement is the following:This vehicle was originally going to customer's home and destination was changed by [redacted] to go to [redacted]. At the time of pick up, the customer got inside of another person's vehicle and followed the driver to...

[redacted]. After the driver arrived to [redacted] and was unloading the vehicle, the customer arrived in the same car she left in and four people came out of the vehicle: the customer, another female, and two males. After the vehicle was dropped off on the drop off zone of [redacted], the driver handed the keys to the customer and he told her that at [redacted] she has to fill out a slip and put the keys and the slip on an envelope. The customer stated that she did not want to go pick up the slip because of the homeless person's on the surroundings. Thus, our driver, out of courtesy, went to pick up the slip and envelope for her to fill out. At this time, she handed the keys to one of the male persons that arrived with her on the other vehicle. He got into the customer's car and the other male started pushing the vehicle. The customer got in the other car with the other female that was with her and the male pushing the vehicle asked our driver to help him push the vehicle into a parking stall. Let us remark that at this time the vehicle was unhooked, off the truck, dropped off on the drop off zone and keys were already handed to the customer. Thus, the service at this time was already completed. Our driver, who was getting ready to leave, out of courtesy helped the customer's friends/relatives to push the vehicle. At the time they were almost done and the vehicle was almost entirely in the parking stall, our driver stopped pushing the vehicle. The other male stopped pushing the vehicle as well, he went to the back of the vehicle, at which time our driver and the other male outside of the vehicle started repeatedly advising the younger male inside the vehicle to hit the brakes, but he didn't and the vehicle smashed into a post. Clearly, the younger male inside the vehicle did not know how to operate a manual transmission vehicle and, according to the male himself, that he was pressing on the clutch pedal instead of the brake pedal. At the time the vehicle smashed into the post, the customer, along with the other female inside the vehicle got off the car to see what had happened, and our driver stated to her that her friend did not press on the brake pedal properly and they smashed the car into the post. Our investigation:After receiving this claim, we called the customer to hear her version of the story. At this time, she stated that she did not know who the persons who pushed and operated her vehicle (the two males) were, even though that they picked her up and got off the vehicle with her at the time of drop off. Not to mention that it was her who handed the keys to them in the first place. When we talked to her, she also stated that not only she did not know who they were, but that she knew that they were the ones responsible for the damages to her vehicle and that we (RC TOWING) should pay for her damages and then "go after" them. Today, Monday 23rd, we went to the the footage of the security cameras at [redacted]. Unfortunately, their cameras are not only bad quality, but the perimeter they cover does not reach where our driver dropped off the vehicle. It is clear on the video, however, that the customer arrives at another car with 3 other people and then proceed to the area where her vehicle was dropped off, nearby the parking stall where they pushed the vehicle and the damages occurred. And, according to the store manage who kindly showed us the video, the customer showed up the very next day to review this footage. Furthermore, the customer stated that it was our drivers responsibility to not let them touch the vehicle. This is clearly something out of our driver's hands, since he is in no position to question who the people who arrive with the customer are and just because of the sole fact that she handed the keys over to them, it stops being our driver's responsibility since the service was completed and the keys were already in possession of the customer. Our conclusion: As stated before, the service was already completed by our driver, the vehicle was already dropped off on the drop zone and the keys were already handed to the customer at the time these incidents happened. Our driver out of courtesy did not leave immediately after dropping the vehicle, out of courtesy went to get the customer the envelope since she did not want to do it, and out of courtesy helped the males push the vehicle into the parking stall when they started pushing it, clearly not helping them to put it in all the way. However, let us remark that he was never operating this vehicle at the time this incident happened, nor was his fault that customer handed the keys over to someone who did not know how to operate a manual transmission vehicle. Therefore, RC Towing will not take responsibility over damages caused by third parties, which in this case were customer's friends, relatives, or people of her knowledge, since they picked the customer up at the breakdown location and showed up with her at the drop off location. As the customer herself stated when we spoke to her directly, we are not responsible for these damages and we are certainly not paying for damages that are not caused by our services/equipment/drivers, nor is our policy to "go after" the people who are actually responsible for them, being the customer's friends or not, they did accompany her and she handed the keys over to them. Our driver gave them a hand out of pure courtesy because if he would have denied the help, they would have complained of bad customer service, something very important for Agero, clearly. Yet, we strongly remark that it is not our driver's nor RC Towing's liability to damages that were caused by other people operating the vehicle after the vehicle had already been dropped off and the service had already been completed. Aside from this, the customer was inside the other vehicle with the other female, with a clear vision of what was happening. If at any time she did not want them touching her vehicle, she could have gone out of the car to say something or never handed them the keys in the first place. P.S. Attached are some pictures of the parking lot of [redacted]. Keep in mind that this pictures were taken today just to show where the driver dropped the car. The first one ([redacted]) is where the drop off zone is, and our driver dropped the vehicle where the grey car is on the first picture, from where they pushed it to the nearest parking stall where the post is. The rest of the pictures are just to clarify how the parking lot is structured and the parking stall where they pushed the vehicle into. Sincerely,[redacted]RC TOWING[redacted]
