He came to our office on 09-20-for an initial evaluation for hearing aids.He seemed satisfied with the results but wanted to go to two other providers before making a decision.He returned on 10-05-to to be fit with two hearing aids for a cost of $which included the hearing aids and
complete follow up service of one week after the fitting, one month ,three months then every six months for the life of the hearing aids plus the ability to come between his checkups for additional service if need be.He also had a hearing aid benefit of $1,toward the cost of the hearing aids which was deducted from his bill as we would bill the insurance company ourselves and be paid directly from the insurance company so he wouldn't have to do that reducing his final cost from $- 1,to a total cost of $3,that he would be responsible for.He put down an payment of $1,and asked if he could pay the balance over time which we agreed to do for him.There is a day period where he can return the hearing aids for a refund less $for a dispensing fee which covers the cost of the fitting and services provided during that period.We scheduled a one week appointment for a follow up which he kept and reported he was was hearing much better and others had noticed it too as he wasn't saying "huh" all the time and asking people to repeat themselves.in addition he came in for reinstruction between his initial fitting and one week check up.We then scheduled a one month followup appointment.He came into the office about a week later saying he should receive the $1,reimbursement himself.I explained that amount had already been taken off his bill and he still had a balance of $2,after the initial payment he made.He said he wanted to return the hearing aids if we would not take an additional $1,off the bill and he should the insurance payment himself.On 10-31-he returned the hearing aids and was given a check the same day for $which was the $1,initial payment less $for the dispensing fee.This was all clearly written on his contract which I've included a copy of.There was no complaint from him about the service we provided him or the improvement in his hearing from the aids

I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # ***.The secretary bookkeeper summed it up in one word concealmentShe said didn’t the salesperson tell you they would take the insurance payment for themselves increasing to net cost to you and that they would charge a $fee if you returned item and did not use it not fit for your purposeThe initial bill had the fee broken down into two columns, one for the $and the other column for the insurance which in final bill they added together to total $which I would not gree to pay if listed separatelyThat’s the fraud part of itI expected to get the $directly from the insurance company to reduce my cost directly not to go to the company to increase their takeThis was fraud as the salesperson did not divulge it, concealmentDiscrimination of me the elderly year old with poor hearing and poor vision was a subtle thing since they did not explain the listing of the fees on two columns totaling more than I told the salesperson I wanted to payPart of the fraud and concealment was John wrote in the $extra fee when I asked him for a full refundIt was not in the contract at the time of signingI did not accept this contract change, it makes the contract null and void
