Review: I purchased two shower faucet handles on 01/18/2014. The handles didn't fit on the sprockets to the shower so I returned to the East Sacramento Hardware to exchange them for the proper handles. I brought the handles, the screws, and the bags they came in along with the receipt. When I said they didn't fit, the lady behind the counter told me that because I didn't have the cardboard labels that were attached to the bags, I wouldn't be able to exchange or return the items. I told her I had the receipts but she said they wouldn't take them back with the complete package. I told her I didn't know where the rest of the package was. She told me I should return home and go through my garbage. I told her that the store's return policy about items' packaging needing to be intact was not printed on the receipt nor was it posted anywhere in the store. She said that wasn't her problem. The customer came in looking to purchase faucet handles but did not know which ones he needed. We asked if he had brought in his old ones so that we could give him the proper ones but he did not have them. He decided to try a pair and was told to open the package carefully and bring everything back in case they were the wrong ones. He came back to the complete package that the handles came in, all he had brought in were the plastic bags. He asked the cashier,who was also the person who had previously helped him,if she was serious. She told him we needed the rest of the package because it identified the handles and also had the upc barcode. He became upset, stated that he never needed the complete packaging when he returned things at other stores. He was asked if he could get the rest of the packaging from home, he stated he didn't remember if he had left them in the trash or recycling bin. He stated that all he needed was the receipt because we didn't have it in writing that we needed the complete packaging. He then threatened to submit a claim to the Revdex.com if he wasn't given a refund. He was told that if he wanted to submit a claim to the Revdex.com because he didn't wan t to bring back the rest of the packaging to go ahead and do so. He stormed out of the store and left the handles and receipt on the counter. He subsequently left reviews on yelp, google, and facebook. We replied that we would still refund the amount to him if he came back with the packaging.
