well I HAD A MOTOR JOB DONE ON MY 2000 *** PICK UP TRUCK , ON JULY 9 2018 WE HAD A USED OR SO CALL NEW MOTOR PUT IN AND HAD NOTING BUT PROBLEM WITH IT LIKE WE HAD TO GET TWO OIL CHANCE WENT WE GOT IT BACK & HAD NO HEAT SO WE HAD TO TAKE IT TO OTHER PEOPLE TO GET IT FLUSH OUT ,( AND NOW WE HAVE HEAT ) WHEN WE TOOK IT TO EAST SIDE TIRE & AUTO INC. HE SAID HE PUT A MOTOR IN AND THE FIRST MOTOR WAS 300.00 HUNDRED AND THEN HE CAL MY WIFE AND SAID THE FIRST MOTOR WAS NO GOOD SO HE HAD TO GET ANOTHER ONE WITCH COST 800.00 HUNDRED BUT HE DID NOT TELL HER THAT IT WAS A VAN MOTOR THAT HE PUT IN AND IT COST 2736.58 TO DO THE JOB AND TO PAY THIS MUCH FOR A MOTOR JOB. PUT IN WE SHOULD NOT HAVE THAT MUCH PROBLEM WITH GETTING HEAT & OIL AFTER THE JOB WAS DONE IF DONE RIGHT. WHEN MY WIFE CALL HIM ABOUT IT HE WAS RUDE TO HER ..........

On July 9th 2018 we did an engine replacement job on a 2000 GMC *** pickup truck. Everything went fine. 6 months later the customers came in to the shop and said they have no heat. I went outside to check to see what I could find out. At that time I told them they need to book an appointment to flush the heat system and possibly replace the thermostat. They booked an appointment but never showed up, then phoned and said another shop already did the work. The name of the customer I have on file is *** and ***, not ***. She said the other shop did the flush and got heat. She asked if I would pay the invoice and I said no as I had told her to book it in at my shop, which she did, and as the truck is almost 20 years old, things are going to happen. I also explained that this has nothing to do with us as we were paid to do a engine job and it had heat when it left our shop and there were no complaints until 6 months later. We do coolant flushes all the time to get people better heat or bring back heat loss. If we were to cover things like this we would not be in business as things are going to break down as the vehicle gets older. The heater core is nothing to do with the engine job. I've been in this trade well over 30 years and have done a fair amount of engines and never flushed heater cores or engine blockages as it might cause more problems due to age of the vehicle, so as mechanics we don't cause problems. I'm sorry to hear that they would take this to the *** as this was no one's fault, just stuff that happens as things get older. They had the opportunity to bring it back here and they chose not to. I'm sorry I cannot accept fault for this problem, otherwise I would have looked after it if I thought it was our workmanship.
