Definitions of services Tune up system must be operating under conditions to be able to conduct a tune up, home owners are under the misunderstanding that this voucher will get their system running , this is not the case Cost of a tune up is our promotion is 49.00, we will conduct a series of tests and lubricate any moving parts on an operating system home owner is saving by buying this voucher, Diagnostic: time needed to evaluate the system as to why it is not operating electrical, freon leak search,loss of power, defective parts This is priority and must take place to move forward with the TUNE UP, FEE IS NON REFUNDABLE every shop has a diagnostic fee Warranty : New systems installed by contractors carry two types of warranties, the manufacture warranty which protects the goods and the labor warranty by the vendor or contractor parts under warranty: If any part fails during the warranty period the home owner must contact the contractor who installed the system to take care of the warranty this is industry standard Freon leaks : Leaks develop on systems that are plus years old mainly in areas where rust in developed rust is mostly initiated in the evaporator the cooling point of the air conditioning and if a leak develops its only one NEVER two or three working hrs Monday - Frday 8am to pm Sat 9am to 2pm On March Mr [redacted] called our office stating the had a voucher for a Tune up, so we schedule for Friday pm, on Friday our service adviser shows up just past pm only to find out that the system is NOT running, we explained to Mr [redacted] that we can not move forward until the system is DIAGNOSED, that it would be for us to see whats wrong , [redacted] then reports to the office if we had installed this system since it looked new about yrs old , we checked our records and found out that we were not the ones it was HOME DEPOT .Mr [redacted] got very upset about our the charges he is facing , we also advised him that it would be best to contact his contractor that he would be more reasonable in the labor than usWe find out that the system has no freon that we need to perform a leak search Mr [redacted] only wants to pay for a diagnostic thats half of what we charge so we checked the section where the most wear and tear takes place, we tested the refrigerant lines , tested the evaporator,we were there for sometime without any results, we never tested the condenser , leaks never develop there and only was paid for the service, IF [redacted] WOULD HAD PAID THE FULL AMOUNT we would had taken the system completely apart We charged Mr [redacted] a lb of refrigerant times lbs is plus for a total of We did advised him that there would be no warranty , since we have not located the leak or made any repairs We filled him up that Friday We get a call again Saturday after pm , we dispatched [redacted] again only to find out that the system is out of refrigerant , we take the panels off from the condenser only to see leaks, in the yrs of service I have never seen leaks in a condenser especially when its less than yrs and much less on a TRANE TRANE is the best system ever builtI could not refill it since we were going to lose it again, so we had to wait till Monday to see how Trane wanted to proceed since it is still under warranty The affected part needed to be replaced under warranty but we first needed to order the part from Trane, shipping costs need to be paid for this part which is round trip , we would need to send the old one back, they do this to study the part that failed Its for shipping and for labor and that is removing the condenser coil, SHIPPING it to Trane , picking up the new coil and installing it , installing a new filter and place system under a vacuum then recharging We are not charging Mr [redacted] for freon just labor and shipping and handling but he does not see it that way , thats why we advised him to see his contractor for better pricing but he refused home owner not going back to his contractor freon leak on a new system leaks on a TRANE condenser one in every Home Depot is the primary contact which is where the unit was first bought knowing this raises questions as to why the home owner is not consulting with HOME DEPOT about is issue If I bought my AC from home depot I would be the first one knocking their door about my AC [redacted] Servcie Manager

After a missed appointment, with no phone call to me so I was tied up for the morning waiting, I called to see what happened, and with apologies, the tech and two assistants (one a trainee) came early the next morning to check/tune up the AC, and made some recommendations for maintainance and repairThough the repair estimates seemed a little high, I've nothing to compare them toTechnicians were polite and cleaned up after their work

Mr Sammy   Mr [redacted] is one of our highly trained and skilled technicians in the field, he diagnosed your system by our standards. He leak searched your system by the book with the exception of the condenserit looked  new to have issues, I want to make several items clear :1.  you were given the option to pay for a leak search for 89.00 but you only wanted to pay 40.00 our services are not discounted just because you have a voucher2. we advised you several times to go to your contractor who installed this equipment, they can offer better pricing on labor or even no labor since its only a few yr old3.700.00 is not all mine only 400.00 and thats for the labor to install your new part, if you look at the invoice for the company that installed it you can see that we very competative4. we tried to tell you that we would refill your system at no cost  only if we did we work but you never gave me a chance5. before we added freon to your system we did advised you that it came with no warranty, and you AGREED6.we tried working with you but you never gave us the opportunity in fact you did not want to hear our suggestions . We believe your system was sabotaged , no condenser has that many leaks .you request a refund in which we have no problem in issuing one , we only ask that you take into consideration that we were out there twice, lost 7 lbs of refrigerant , spent over 3 hrs, plus fuel costsI really dont see how is it that we just took your money,  before any work was done you were given options you  made a costly decision so now we are to blame on

On  March 26 Mr [redacted] called our office stating the had a voucher for a Tune up, so we schedule for Friday pm, on Friday our service adviser shows up just past 2 pm only to find out that the system is NOT running, we explained to Mr [redacted] that we can not move forward until the system is DIAGNOSED, that it would be 89.00 for us to see whats wrong ,[redacted] then reports to the office if we had installed this system since it looked new about 2 yrs old , we checked our records and found out that we were not the ones it was HOME DEPOT .Mr [redacted] got very upset about our the charges he is facing , we also advised him that it would be best to contact his contractor that he would be more reasonable in the labor than us.

Mr [redacted] only wants to pay 45 .00 for a diagnostic thats half of what we charge so we checked the section where the most wear and tear takes place, we tested the refrigerant lines , tested the evaporator,we were there for sometime without any results, we never tested the condenser , leaks never develop there and only 40.00 was paid for the service, IF [redacted] WOULD HAD PAID THE FULL AMOUNT we would had taken the system completely apart
 
We charged Mr [redacted] 45.00 a lb of refrigerant times 7 lbs is 315.00
plus 45.00 for a total of 360.00
 
We did advised him that there would be no warranty , since we have not located the leak or made any repairs
We filled him up that Friday
We get a call again Saturday after 2 pm , we dispatched [redacted] again only to find out that the system is out of refrigerant , we take the panels off from the condenser only to see 3 leaks, in the 20 yrs of service I have never seen 3 leaks in a condenser especially when its less than 3 yrs and much less on a TRANE . TRANE is the best system ever built. I could not refill it since we were going to lose it again, so we had to wait till Monday to see how Trane wanted to proceed since it is still under warranty
The affected part needed to be replaced under warranty but we first needed to order the part from Trane, shipping costs need to be paid for this part which is 300.00 round trip , we would need to send the old one back, they do this to study the part that failed  
Its  300 for shipping and 450.00 for labor and that is removing the condenser coil, SHIPPING  it to Trane , picking up the new coil and installing it , installing a new filter and place system under a vacuum then recharging. 
We are not charging Mr [redacted] for freon just labor and shipping and handling  but he does not see it that way , thats why we advised him to see his contractor for better pricing  but he refused.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Regards,[redacted] Wednesday, May 6, 2015  Re:       Air MedicAcct:    [redacted]Atten:   [redacted]  On March 27th, 2015 a person by the name of [redacted] came to honor the voucher which is for an AC tune up and one pound of free freon (worth $149.00) after checking the system he said the system was very low on freon.  In order to put the Freon in he needed to do a leak check, which he said would normally cost $89.00.  But with the voucher it would be $40.00.  He put the nitrogen into the system to check for leaks and came up with the conclusion that the system had no leaks.  He checked with his Boss ([redacted]) and jacked up the the price of Freon from $45.00 per pound to $55.00 per pound which was $10.00 more than what he had quoted earlier.  I did not think it was right, but I agreed for him to put the Freon in so it would start cooling.  He put the Freon in and the system started cooling.   The following day the system was not blowing cold air and all the freon had leaked out of the system.  So, I had to call him to come and take a look at the unit.  When he came he removed the cover from the back of the unit and realized that he had failed to detect all the leaks from the condenser.  I had paid him for 6 pounds of Freon ($55.00 X 6) which equals $330.00 and $40.00 for testing for leaks, $49.00 for the voucher which also included a free pound of Freon.  In total I paid him $419.00 which $370.00 was cash and $49.00 with my credit card from Amazon Local. I demanded a refund for the cost of the freon and leak test for his mistake and he refused.  Instead he was wanting $700.00 more to fix it right.  At this point I knew that this was a scam.  Considering that the system is only a few years old and is still under warranty by Trane for parts.  All it takes is to provide the serial number to the Aces AC Supply or ING AC Supply to order the part which may take 3-5 days to get in and do an even exchange in one of their various locations in Austin.  The Company I hired from Home Advisory.com did just that and fixed the system. I will provide the Revdex.com with my invoice for the service.  I trusted this so called Air Medic to check my system and diagnose the problem.  Instead, I was robbed of $419.00.  He failed to detect the leak and put Freon into the system.  This clearly shows that he was incompetence and dishonest.  I am willing to give him a chance to do the right thing.  Otherwise I will take my case to FTC and explore my legal options and I will make sure that Amazon Local would know about this case and remove them from Amazon Local Listing, so more people would not get ripped off.  Needless to say I will acquire a legal consultant to explore more options.    Attachment:  Invoice from Home Advisory (Faxed over)
