Contact Name and Title: [redacted] - VP
Contact Phone: XXX-XXX-XXXX
Contact Email: [redacted]@racebros.com
The customer contacted me approx. two weeks ago regarding this issue with the lawn equipment. During our phone call, I did ask many...

questions trying to understand what was wrong with the equipment and visualizing what could have happened. Apparently this unit was repaired in our facility in the fall of 2014 and the failure occurred in the fall of 2014, this phone call is the first contact I have had concerning the issue. Regarding the issue of what transpired, I explained to the customer that the only way we can determine what happened is to examine the unit and follow the forensics of the damage found on the unit to determine the cause of the damage, which is the troubleshooting required for any equipment repair and our technicians are trained to do that. The customer indicated to me that he did not want my technicians working on it. We cannot determine the failure, cause or complete the repair without seeing the unit. We will still offer to look at the damage and determine what caused these issues/failures, and as we have done for the last 40 years, take responsibility for anything we may have caused, but the consumer must at least give us the opportunity. As to the issue of how we load/unload equipment, we have used the same system for many years because we believe it to be the safest for the equipment, as well as the machine operator. We would be more than happy to evaluate the damage and respond accordingly, but we must at least see the unit first.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/05/27) */
yes - the damage happened in the fall of 2014, at the end of the mowing season. I didn't do anything about it at that time as I had some health issues of my own and my daughter had cancer surgery and is now taking chemo treatments. I told the man on the phone I had no way of loading the mower as it doesn't run. I always backed the pickup into the road ditch, let the tail gate down and drove right into the pickup. If their technicians are so highly trained to determine what happened 7 or 8 months ago - then they should know better than to lift a 600 lb. machine by the working parts. I am 86 years old and not trying to keep them from looking at the damage. If they want to settle this dispute, they could come out to my place, get down on their hands & knees and look under the mower and see the damage, then they could go back to town and decide how they did it. Race Bro's seem to indicate that if they look at the mower and decide the forklift did not cause the damage, then that is the final word. Their response is not satisfactory to me!

It is fine with me if they want to come and get the mower and look at it - so long as I am not ask to pay for the trouble of hauling and looking. Again it doesn't mean that what they say is final.

Revdex.com Comment - The company contacted the Revdex.com and stated they have the consumers lawn mower and are working on getting the engine running so they can drive the lawn mower. The repairs are still in progress and they will notify the Revdex.com and the consumer when the job is complete.
