be rendered at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center (EIRMC) prior to her date of service. The estimate given was based on the information provided by the patient and the patient's physician. While we understand there are differences between estimates and what is actual at times, we strive to come as close as possible based on the information provided and historical data from other similarly rendered services.EIRMC did not balance bill patient as stated. There were multiple EOB's from the patient insurance (DMBA) that caused several transactions which caused an error. The error was corrected and reflected on the patient account as of 5/4/17. So there is no recourse?  Just a statement of "EIRMC has complete a thorough investigation and deemed care to be appropriate"?  Maybe if we saw a report of the investigation we could fill in the holes of where they have fallen short.  There are no resources for proper recourse with situations that may arise with EIRMC and this is to say the least concerning of the only major hospital in Idaho Falls.
