Dear [redacted]:Thank you for the opportunity to reply to the complaint from [redacted]. It is my wish see this matter resolved to everyone’s satisfaction.First I would like to say that I am disappointed [redacted] could not produce a copy of another competitor’s advertisement that made the offer he asserted to our representative, [redacted]. For as long as I can remember, it has been our company policy to match a competitor’s offer upon seeing their ad listing. But even without the ad copy I have directed our shipping department to send [redacted] the holders anyway. He should receive them sometime next week. I trust that this will close the matter completely. Sincerely,EASTERN NUMISMATICS, INC[redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

[Your AnswTer Here]
The response from ENI is not acceptable. I am sure they have a record of the conversation between [redacted] and myself. If so you can make a request the recording to verify which party is being honest. I indicated that I was shopping for the best price when I contacted ENI. I told them what my offer from the Texas competitors was. When [redacted] offered the $189 price, I countered with an agreement on with the price if it included the hard plastic holders. It should be noted that when I contacted [redacted] after the delivery of the coins, he originally offered to send the hard plastic holders, and only relented when I did not accept his offers to purchase other items offered by ENI. Once again their record of the conservation will easily review who the dishonest person is. The ENI response to my complaint notes that they sent soft plastic holders with my coins, that was not the case. The coins arrived in a hard tube that normally holds 20 coins. There was no individual holders with the package. Irrespective of the outcome of this complaint, you can be assured that I will never use ENI again.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Review: I prepaid $189 in December, 2014 for 10 Silver Eagles including hard plastic individual capsules. I received the coins approximately February *. However the hard plastic capsules were not enclosed. I contacted the salesperson, [redacted] originally apoligized for the oversight. When I declined offers for other coins [redacted] relented on sending the capsules. When I asked for a Supervisor, I was put on hold momentarily then was hung up on. I sent an e-mail indicating my displeasure along with the letter I sent with my payment. To date I have not had a response from [redacted] on the company.Desired Settlement: I want the promised 10 individual hard plastic coin capsules.

Response:

Thank you for the opportunity to reply to the complaint from [redacted]. I wish to address all of [redacted]’s concerns and see his complaint immediately resolved to everyone’s satisfaction. On December **, 2014 [redacted] responded to our advertisement in American Legion Magazine where we offered the new 2015 American Silver Eagle coin at the price of $19.95 each. [redacted]’s call was handled by our representative, [redacted]. According to [redacted] insisted on paying $189 for ten coins, a discount on $10.50 off our advertised price. [redacted] also requested that each coin be placed in a hard plastic holder, often referred to as ‘air-tight’ holders. These holders sell for one dollar each and [redacted] was not able to satisfy this request. Our advertisement did not offer these holders. Instead, we sent the coins in individual ‘soft’ plastic holders, our usual method for packaging these coins. Had [redacted] agreed to pay for the upgraded holder, then [redacted] would have been able to accommodate his request.[redacted] was not satisfied with this answer and requested to speak with a supervisor. I am not sure of the time of day when this occurred but I was not available to take [redacted]’s call. I do not believe that anyone in our company hung up on him. I also did not see [redacted]’s email indicating his displeasure as stated in his complaint and he did not provide a copy to your office or you would have forwarded it to us.After reviewing the circumstances concerning [redacted]’s purchase, my conclusion is as follows:[redacted] received a discount on his purchase of one ounce American Silver Eagle coins. We would not have been able to provide the hard plastic coin holders that [redacted] requested due to the very slim margins that we work on with this product. According to [redacted] indicated that he could purchase the exact coins with the holders he wanted at the reduced price he paid to us, from a competitor. However, he did not provide a copy of this offer. In an attempt to help bring this matter to a fair conclusion I would make the following proposal:If [redacted] can produce the competitor’s ad from the time of this transaction and with the offer as he described to [redacted], then Eastern Numismatics will provide the necessary items to match their offer. Or, if [redacted] prefers we will offer him a full refund including return shipping on the items he purchased from Eastern Numismatics. My only request is that [redacted] relay his response through the Revdex.com office to avoid any misunderstanding.Sincerely,EASTERN NUMISMATICS, INC[redacted]
