out of a paper velvetPaper Velvet is a throw away kind of materialPaper velvet is the shavings off of real velvet and glued onto a very thin paperThe garment look like it would be ok to go through the dry cleanerIt was an older robe but did not have any sign that it would fall apartAnd not knowing the way the garment was cleaned in Florida may have had a chemical reaction to the way Eastgateeleaners cleaned it causing the paper velvet to fall apartI told her we were sorry for what had happened to the robeI offered to take the cleaning cost off her bill for the graduation robe that had fallen apart in the dry cleaner.She said no to the refund and she had not paid for it yetBefore we could resolve the problem she grab her robes and left. Thank you

Very poor quality of service. Owner unwilling to discuss to correct problem. Did not return phone calls.Dropped off 6 whites shirts to be laundered approximately 4 weeks ago. Picked up shirts and paid in full. When I got home and was going to hang in my closet I noticed that one shirt was completely wrinkled and the other 5 were not clean but were pressed. I returned the shirts and the counter clerk said she would have them redone. Went back to pick of the shirts and all 6 were now pressed but still dirty around the collar and on the sleeves. The counter clerk said she would notify the manager and have them redone. I went back to pick up the shirts and they were still the same. I took the shirts and asked that the manager and owner to please give me a call and I left messages for both of them at both of their locations. Manager [redacted] returned my call and said there was nothing they could do and that they didn't put the dirt in the shirts. I explained to her that I have been taking my shirts to the laundry for over 30 years and the last 9 1/2 years I have been taking my shirts to the laundry in Lakeland, Tn close to where I use to live and have never had this problem until coming to this cleaners. I asked that the owner to please call me to discuss. The owner Ms [redacted] has never called me. When I called again [redacted] told me she would pass the information along to Ms [redacted] then called me back nd said again they did't put the dirt in the shirts but Ms [redacted] would give me 50% of my money back. I told her that this was unacceptable that I wanted a full refund and that I didn't appreciate that Ms [redacted] didn't have the professional courtesy to call and talk to me herself. This was last Monday 10/28/13 and as of this date I have yet to her from her. I assured manager [redacted] that would never do business with them again and after 9 1/2 years of extremely professional service and outstanding customer service from the cleaners that I was use to doing business with that it would be worth driving back to Lakeland rather than doing business with them even though they were less than 3 minutes from my home.Desired SettlementAll I am asking for is a full refund of the charge for the 6 shirts that were not satisfactory. Ms [redacted] can refund my money and never worry about me doing business with her establishment ever again. Business Response Gave him a ck# 4502 for $12.90 11-22-13

Will not replace drapes that they shrunk by washin when specified Dry clean onlyTook draperies in for dry cleaning. Tag specifically states Dry Clean only. They came back with spot not resolved. They offered to run through again. When picked up spot was gone but they had shrunk 6 inches. They admitted that they washed them when it clearly said Dry clean only. Refusing to replace because they are not responsible for household items. Does this allow them to purposely ruin $200 worth of draperies. These are only 3 years old. Aske vendor and they said should be no problem to dry clean Desired SettlementJust would like $119 to replace material. They will have to be altered and this cost is $60. With tax it came to $200 Business Response THIS LETTER IS REGAURDING CASE [redacted]WE DID TAKE THE DRAPES IN AND DRY CLEANED THE FIRST TIME. THEY WERE SENT BACK TO TRY AGAIN TO GET THE DOG URINE OUT. THEY HAD TO BE WET CLEANED TO GET THE STAIN OUT. THEN THE CUSTOMER SAID THAT THEY HAD BEEN STRUNK. I TOLD THE CUSTOMER TO GIVE FEW DAYS TO WORK WITH THE DRAPES.WE HAVE A SIGN IN OUR STORE THAT STATES HOUSEHOLD IS DONE AT YOUR OWN RISK! I HAVE WORKED ON THE DRAPES AND THEY HAVE NOT BEEN IN TO LOOK AT THEM.WE WOULD LIKE FOR THEM TO TRY THEM, AS THEY WERE ABLE TO BE STREGHTED.THANK YOU,[redacted]Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have been by several times and was told the draperies were not ready. I was told we would be called to come in and get them I will go by today. However this still does not justify washing. I doubt very seriously that they were able to stretch 6 inches without ruining the material. When I inquired about having the panel cleaned I was told no problem. The only thing that might happen would be they would fall apart if they were old. Since only 3 years old I was not worried. I was not told submit at your own risk or sign any document that said I was told this. There is a small sign that state not responsible for household items. What does that mean??? Also I did not ask to have them recleaned. I noticed that the spot was still there and the clerk offered to run them through again at no charge. I hesitated but consented because I have always had good luck at this business. The matter is also still clear that they should have run back through DRY Cleaning as it states on the tag. If the spot didn't come out so be it but now the panel is ruined!

eastgate cleaners[redacted] OWNER MS [redacted]. they did not hold up their word on cleaning.MS [redacted] OWNER OF EASTGATE CLEANERS ON MT MORIAH ROAD. I WENT THERE TO HAVE MY CLOTHES CLEANED AND EXPECTED TO GET THEM BACK IN THE CONDITION THE GOT THEM. WELL SEVERAL TIMES I HAD TO BRING THEM BACK FOR REDO'S. THEY PUT A PERMANATE CREASE IN MY SWEATERS BECAUSE THEY FOLDED THEM OVER A HANGER. I ASKED THEM NOT TO DO THAT. PLUS THEY WERE IN WORSE SHAPE THAN WHEN I LEFT THEM. I ASKED HER MANY TIMES TO GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK AND NOT THE PRICE OF THE CLOTHS. SHE REFUSED AND ASKED ME TO GIVE THEM ANOTHER CHANCE. I DID AND SAME THING. I CAN PROVE THEY HAVE CREASES AND WANT COME OUT BECAUSE I HAVE THEM HANGING IN MY CLOSET, ONE SWEATER HAD WHITE SUSTANCE ON IT. THEY HAVE RUINED MY CLOTHES AND ANYONE WHO KNOWS ME THEY KNOW I TAKE CARE OF MY CLOTHES. I HAVE SPENT GOOD MONEY FOR A HORRIBLE SERVICE. MS [redacted] EVEN SAID, THAT I WAS NOT A SATISFIED CUSTOMER. THE LAST INCIDENT WAS THEY TORE THE ZIPPER OUT OF MY SHIRT AND THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD REPLACE IT AT NO CHARGE, WHEN I CALLED ABOUT MY SKIRT THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY 15.00 AND I TOLD THEM THAT I WOULD NOT. THEY DID NOT DO WHAT THEY SAID AND THEY STILL HAVE MY SKIRT. SHE TREID TO TELL ME IT WAS OLD AND IT WAS NOT . IT IS A EAST 5TH WHICH IS A VERY EXPENSIVE SHIRT. I DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO BUY ALL NEW CLOSE. WHEN I ASK FOR SERVICE I DO NOT THINK IT IS TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR A GOOD SERVICE. I DO NOT MIND PAYING BUT NOT FOR BAD SERVICE AND THE SAD PART IS I GAVE THEM CHANCE AFTER CHANCE AND THEY ARE TRYING TO KEEP MY PROPERTY AND NEED TO PAY ME FOR DAMAGING THE OTHER 3 SWEATERS AND THAT WHITE STUFF IS STILL ON MY SWEATER AND THE CLOSE DONT EVEN SMELL OR LOOK CLEAN. THE LAST CASE WAS A SKIRT THAT SHE HAD WORN TO WORK AND SAID THAT THE ZIPPER HAD BROKE. IF A ZIPPER WAS BROKE I DON'T THINK YOU WOULD BE A BLE TO WEAR IT WITHOUT IT COMING OFF. SHE EVEN SAID THAT SHE HAD WORN IT TO THE COUNTER CLERK. SHE ASKED THE CLERK TO HELP HER PIN IT, BUT IT WAS SO TIGHT THAT THE CLERK WAS AFRAID SHE WOULD STICK MS [redacted].WE DID PUT A ZIPPER IN THE SKIRT AND GAVE HER A 50% DISCOUNT BECAUSE WE HAVE TO PAY SOMEONE TO DO THE JOB. SHE WAS ONLY CHARGED $7.50.WE CAN NOT PLEASE HER WITH OUT IT BEING FREE!THANK YOU FOR SEEING OUR SIDE OF THE STORY.
