Easton Hills

We have been staying in our apartment for about 8 months, our contract was originally signed for apartment lots on the 2nd floor and leasing office told us that the apartment will not be ready, and suggest us to move the one on the 1st floor, we then found out one of our classmates was staying in the apartment that we originally asked for and moved in one week before us. This is not a big deal but have been safety issues going on during this period of time, a lot of trespassing, door knocking, strangers trying to get into the house. and one time our window shield even fell down because of whoever that's knocking vigorously. Talked to the leasing office, first time we asked to move out and being told that we can only move to another apartment complex in order to not get charged penalty, we decided to stay for bit longer to wait for the next apartment within the company to be available, didn't get back to us. Went back to ask for follow up and being told that management won't allow us to move as we have been here more than 6 months, it will cost more for them to let us move as they need to repaint, cost for maintenance...being told that filing a police report might change the situation, we did all the thing they asked, police report has been filed to Austin Police Department, didn't hear anything back as usual. We then just gave up moving. Now, our neighbor that staying at the apartment upstairs, making noises like moving furniture, vacuuming, stepping extremely hard on the floor, loud enough to make us woke up from our sleep. Situation normally occurred around 10pm-2am and 5am in the morning and this has been going on for 6 days straight. Texted leasing office, nothing has changed, no reply from them as well. This is very very frustrating. We are international interns here, we pay rent on time, not picky, not fussy, not trying to be annoying at all. We just want to come home and rest but this place couldn't even allow us to do so and nobody is doing anything. This is really upsetting.
