Very little of what the contractor said was true and can all be confirmed by the text message thread that I supplied with initial complaint His assumptions show not only his disregard to the truth, but also his interest in spinning the facts First off, I sent him a picture of the wood that I replaced to give advanced warning of what to expect That text message and his response indicating it was ok was included in the previously shared thread Secondly, I'm not sure how he claims to know my skill sets in construction I actually built not only the shed, but also the actual house on the premises back in 1987, The crystal ball that he pretends to have is a bit cloudy I'm not sure how he knows about other "no-show" contractors The first time he failed to show he did advise but the second time he didn't make it he failed to let us know, he just didn't show I get all that as it's just a shed roof and other jobs take precedence. My complaint to the Revdex.com is regarding his installation of vents in the roof but no holes cut in the sheeting to allow the vents to vent It would stand to reason that my contracting with them to install ridge vents would also include cutting holes which is standard practice in the installation of the vents Evidently he thought I was either blind or ignorant of ridge vent installation protocol I would hope that they would live up to their claim as being reputable and make the vents actually vent

We completely disagree with this complaint.  Mr. [redacted] asked for an estimate to fix his leaks which we gave to him.  That estimate was too high for Mr [redacted] so he decided to do the roof repair BY HIMSELF and has NO previous roofing experience.  Actually, Mr [redacted] attempted to fix this...

leak many times with many people before, all failing.  But one MAJOR problem is the addition has no slope to allow the water to shed off his roof, which is a structural problem and creates a pool of water on his metal roof.  We told him what products could work for his metal roof.  The product could help on repairing his leak and cooling his interior addition, if installed by us.   Since Mr [redacted] wanted to do the roof by himself we told him we could get the product and deliver it to his house for him for a price with delivery. He agreed on that price and understood the terms.  We picked the product up, delivered it to Mr. [redacted]s house, even helped load it onto his roof and we were paid on the spot.   Mr. [redacted] also needed a cleaning solution to prep the metal roofing to accept the product onto the metal roof to remove all of the previous failing roofing work on his metal roof.  We did not sell him this, but informed him he would need this.  If this cleaning product was not used any repairs he attempted to do would not work.  Mr. [redacted] accepted our price, delivery, products, paid us and took on the sole responsibility as the contractor for the roof leak/fix.  Simply put, Mr. [redacted] was now the contractor not us.  Summary, we could had done the work for him, but he willingly decided to become the contactor.  He then willingly accepted our price, delivery and products.   Blaming us or a attempting to scam someone is completely false.  We gave our opinion and estimate, but Mr. [redacted] didnt take it.  Mr [redacted] accepted all responsibility when he became the contactor, not us.

The issue with this complaint is what Mr. [redacted] fails to let you know what he did before we got to the job. He replaced the first 4-6" of the wood decking of the SHED roof making it dangerously unsafe for anyone to walk on. Mr. [redacted] is not a contractor and should have never attempted this and our...

crew could have seriously been hurt or injured. The negligence was incredible to not to tie the wood into the trusses. Lastly, he also fails to inform you that 3 other companies backed out on him because of his attitude or what we listed above. We completed the work in one day and the cleanup was perfect. We had to add a temporary support so our crew wasn't injured with another layer of shingles in the opposite direction for support. The crew, thanks to this, wasn't injured and it only cost Mr. [redacted] $80 instead of having to rip the ENTIRE boards off the roof addingabout $200 to the job. Mr. [redacted] agreed on the $80 option, whch is what we did. We offered him a choice and he chose the $80 one. After we completed the work, his wife happy paid us thanking us for showing up and getting it done so fast and nicely.*To date the small SHED roof has never leaked, no shingles have come off or had one single problem though many large storms that have come through the area.Mr. [redacted] never should of have touched the shed roof to start with considering he has zero idea how to install wood decking safely. He would have killed himself if he did the work himself. I'm just guessing this is why other conbactors didn't show up thanks to his attitude or poor attempted workmanship. The SHED roof works 100% correctly and sheds water as its intended to. This complaint is silly and should be removed from existence on a small SHED (not a house) roof.
