Eastside Laundromat & Dry Cleaner

Review: I have used this cleaner multiple times. After picking up my last batch of work shirts (approximately 10 shirts) I placed them in my closet without looking at them. When I began taking the shirts out to wear I noticed that all of them has been stained by the cleaners. The front of each shirt and the sleeves on some all had the same stains on them, in roughly the same areas and they were highly visible, making the shirts unwearable. I brought the shirts back to them to ask what could be done, and instead of handling the situation like a normal business owner would, they treated me like I was a criminal trying to pull a fast one on them. They were confrontational, rude, and lacked any compassion at all for the fact that they had ruined 10 of my shirts, 4 of which were BRAND NEW (Brooks Brothers shirts that cost $92 each). They simply yelled at me that they didn't know what I wanted and that they finally said they would send them for a redo. They were upset with me...because THEY ruined MY shirts. What happened to customer care? Or responsibility? I know that most dry cleaners have policies against refunding services but I feel that that is similar to parking garages illegally claiming no responsibility for damaging cars (the law disallows policies like that which attempt to shield greedy business owners from their legal liabilities for damages they cause). When the shirts returned from the redo, the stains were still there and they couldn't care less if they tried. They became instantly enraged that I noticed the stains were still there and again began yelling at me, telling me to get out of the store and go home, that they didn't know anything (claimed to not speak english all of a sudden) and began LAUGHING at me when I asked, very politely and in front of a witness I might add, when I asked if there was any way I could be reimbursed for the shirts or, at the very least, the services which have now ruined over $1,000 of my work shirts. At one point, they even tried claiming the shirts were old and that I made the stains....the shirts are BRAND NEW! I have never, in my life, been treated with such disrespect by a business owner, let alone one whose services caused me monetary damages. There was not one apology. No attempt (other than the begrudged "redo") to resolve my issue. No compassion for the fact that I now have to go buy more shirts which will cost over $1000 to replace. Just anger and pure hatred for the fact that I asked them to have morals - which they clearly do not. They are selfish, greedy business owners who are simply there to make money at the expense of others and claim no responsibility for anything that is a direct result of their actions. I am simply disgusted by how I was treated and their overall attitude.Desired Settlement: I would not only like to be compensated by cash/check for the destruction of my shirts, but I would like a written apology from the business owners for treating me, a customer of theirs, with such hostility and disrespect. If neither of these things happen I will, with the assistance of my father who is an attorney, seek action through whatever legal means necessary whether it be small claims court or elsewhere. I will not let this rest - that is how upset I am over how they treated me and I do not want others to fall victim to the same.
