Eastsiders Reviews (11)

*** ***,
We are working closely with the manufacturer to resolve the grid issue. I have attached photos detailing the complaint for the grids, the factory is having a hard time making them to your standards
All we asked for is time to resolve the issue, it will be
resolved
There are no standard size windows, 100% of the windows we order are custom sized and fit to the particular opening. Eastsiders did not install new moldings on your windows because you did not pay for it and new moldings are not detailed on the contract.
If *** (the window manufacturer did not already resolve the issue they will soon)
Thank you,
Eastsiders

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

I did not sign the estimate that [redacted] gave me.  I told him that I had to think about it.  I only signed the receipt after the work was done.  I also called Eastsiders
and asked to speak to [redacted] about the window not fitting and of course, I did not get to speak with him. I know that all the windows are custom made.  I was trying to explain to you that I had a Home Depot window in there that was a standard size window and it fit well.  When the window went bad I wanted to replace it with the same windows that I had in the rest of the house so that they would all be [redacted] windows.  I was upset that it was measured incorrectly and did not fit the opening the way it should have.  I was only stating that the statement "there are no standard windows" is not true.  You may not deal with standard size windows but they are
out there.  When I got my other windows they all fit the openings with no adjustment.  This last window did not and that is what I am upset about.  It is alot different
from my other windows but because it is the new re-designed window from [redacted] and it is on a side of the house where I have no other windows, I am not upset
that it is not the same, I am upset that it was measured improperly and was a lot of money for a window that was not measured properly.
It is not my fault that [redacted] redesigned the grids in the windows to be the opposite of mine, but it is also not right for me to have a big front window with
the grids being different in the sashes.
A few phone calls updating me during this process which has now taken months would have been nice.  Being able to talk to someone else besides [redacted]
when I call, would also have been nice.
I am aware that [redacted] is trying to solve the problem to make all my replaced sashes match but I am not saying this matter is resolved, until I have all
my sashes with the grids all being the same.

In order for the Revdex.com to appropriately process your response, you MUST answer the question above.
Sincerely,

This is the same response I have heard for months.  There are standard size windows.  People go to Home Depot all the time and purchase
windows which are not custom made.  You measured the window wrong and it did not fit the opening and had to be made to fit the opening.
Tony did not measure it correctly.  It should have fit much better than it did.  The last window was a standard Home Depot window.
I am tired of not being able to talk to anyone at Eastsiders except the [redacted].  I never get my calls returned, I never get a call with an
  update on the situation.
When the original windows were installed they were supposed to replace any bad moldings.  Who puts in new windows and doesn't have the
bad moldings replaced?  Molding on the den windows was removed and it was not put back.   The moldings I needed are fairly inexpensive.  I
had to pay for the door sweep because the company went out of business.  That is not my fault. I was supposed to have a life time warranty.
Your bill was excessive for one window and some molding.

The vendor that manufactured your windows, [redacted], does not stock any windows. they are all 100% custom made in Ohio. [redacted] has no standard sizes.   Eastsiders never has installed a "standard home depot window" in your home.  If you wanted a standard home depot window you should have asked for them.   The bill that you are not happy with is a contract that you agreed to the price and signed before any work began on your home.  If you thought it was too much money why did you agree and sign it?
[redacted], the best I can explain this is like going to Lexus, buying a car, waiting for it to be custom made and delivered, then complain that Ford has a standard car in stock for less money.
You did not buy a "standard home depot window", you bought a custom made [redacted] window.  The same company that custom manufactured the window, then supplied new sashes at 0 cost to you for possible seal failure is re-making them a third time to try and correct an issue that your are not happy with.
Please allow them to do so, every time they re-make sashes it takes a few weeks plus shipping. New sashes are not made overnight.
Thank you.

I had a very good experience with this company. The workman were neat, courteous, and worked steady. I had new shakes installed on the front of my home. Also all new gutters.

I would recommend them highly.

had them do our roof 3 years ago, they changed a lot of rotten plywood, and put a gaf roof on my house. I got the system plus warranty from them and couldn't be happier. with the new plywood my roof looks and feels better than it did and I have wonderful piece of mind. Im going to have them give me a quote on my kitchen as soon as I get my tax return this year.

Review: Had a bathroom done by Eastsiders and had products put in I didn't ask for. Now I have a chip in the tub. A leak coming from the spick-it above the tub. Have a wall put in that we didn't want. Had doors put up where you can still the light through them. Was supposed to get a medicine cabinet and got a mirror instead. Have shower doors that we're put in that gets water on the floor cause of my height. There are two cracks in the bathtub one you can see and the other they tried to fix. I spoke to the owner and response was to put a lean against the house cause I'm not giving the rest of the money. The owner wants to come back to make right I don't what him back especially since they were supposed to be out of here by 6/**/14 as stated in the contract. Every time they come back they make it worse.Desired Settlement: $8,000.00

[redacted],

As stated in our phone conversation, we are willing to come back to your house to mediate the issues. It is not fair to us for you to not allow us to. The date of 6/** on your contract is only an estimated completion date, we stand behind our workmanship long after that.

We are also willing to work with you on the remaining balance.

Thank you.

[Your Answer Here]

Don't talk to me about fair you had almost 2 months. It was not right that we had use a shower at motel for a month and 3weeks. You made a disruption in people's life's and you don't care. If you did your son would have said something the first time. You let [redacted] come in and out a second time when I told your son we didn't want him back. I had to threaten [redacted] with the police not to come back. But you don't know what's going on cause you never took and interest when I had a problem. I don't want anyone back here and you are not going to get me to change my mine.

We sincerely apologize that you are not satisfied with the bathroom. We still would like to correct the minor issues you have. A free bathroom is not something we can do.

Thank you.

Review: All of my windows were brought from Eastsiders. In some of the windows the seal has broken. Since they are under warranty, they are to be

replaced free of charge. The last three sashes that have been replaced have the grids in the window joined at a different place than the

original sashes. When I called about this, they reordered the sashes only for them to come in the same way. I was told that they would contact

the manufacturer and they would have them help with the issue. Eastsiders never returns my calls, they never call me when my

windows sashes have come in. They don't let me talk to anyone other than the [redacted] who works there who continues to give me

the run around. I recently ordered a new window from them (it is a standard size window). When it came and was installed it was too

small for the opening and it was supposed to be the same window that I had in the rest of my house. I was charged $970.00 for this

window. The rest of the items on the work order was for moldings that should have been replaced when they put my other windows in

and they did not. I was only supposed to pay for the current window and the installation and for door sweep for my front door

(which is also an Eastsiders project). I had to pay for the front door sweep because the manufacturer of the door, I was told, went

out of business.

The most bothersome thing about dealing with them is that you never get to talk to anyone other than the [redacted]. None of

the managers or owners call you back and they just keep telling me the same thing "We are trying to get in touch with [redacted]

from [redacted]". [redacted] never called and I never hear from Eastsiders unless I call them. [redacted] - one of the managers is always busy.

Eastsiders has done my siding, my windows and my entry and storm doors and I have spent a lot of money with them. I do not

feel I should have to pay $970.00 for the recent work on my house since the window was not correct size and it was not

the window I wanted. I think they should stand behind the warranties and treat me with respect.

When I asked the [redacted] (I could not speak with anyone else) why the newer window was different she told me that is the

way they are designed now. When I said that I found that odd because when they replace the sashes they made the same way

as my window - she had nothing to say. When I said I was upset about the window not fitting, she told me that this sometimes

happens with the windows. Well, with all the windows they installed for me, all of them fit in the openings perfectly. All my

windows were measured correctly and fit tight.Desired Settlement: I would like Eastsiders to fix the current situation with the grits in the sashes that have been replaced. I would like new sashes with the grits

going the correct way. I would also like an adjustment on the price of the last window as I was only supposed to be charged for the window

and the door sweep only and there was an issue with the window. The moldings were included in the original window installation only that

they never replaced the bad molding. I would like Eastsiders to speak with me when I am having an issue with a product which they did on

my house and let me talk to someone else other than their [redacted].

Review: I have a contract with Eastsiders Siding & Windows to install new roof. Eastsiders Siding & Windows hired a subcontractor and they came to install new roof on July **, 2013. I have encountered many damages to my house during the installation of the new roof. The first issue I want to address is the water damage from the possibility of the roof or the chimney. The water damage leak into the ceiling in the living room and the ceiling in upstairs bathroom during raining weather. I'm concern that they were interior damages to the house. Eastsiders Siding & Windows refused to repair the ceiling in the living room and the ceiling in upstairs bathroom because they blamed the damage was due to the chimney and not the roof. In addition, they want to charge me $1,200 for a new chimney and told me that I will have to sign a contract agreeing that they will not be repairing the living room and bathroom ceiling. Their subcontractor damage my chimney because they didn't handle with due diligence during the installation of the new roof. The second issue is a large hole in the ceiling laundry room fell down because the workers drop heavy tools during the removal of old roof. Their subcontractor didn't provide quality work and tend to be rushing to finish the job without caring for the damages. My house was left with the damages for one month when they finally came and fix the laundry room ceiling only. The third issue is the gap of the shingles in the garage. They told me that this is ordinary for new roof, which I believe is not true since I did not this issue with the old roof. Eastsiders Siding & Windows have not been responsive about the repairs and they want me to pay the remaining payment of $580 amount without completing the repairs. This has cause me great aggravation and frustration since I expect a complete and quality roofing job for the payment of $12,580. Eastsiders Siding & Windows will not take responsibility for the the damages done to my house. Therefore, I would like Revdex.com to review this complaint case.Desired Settlement: I want Eastsiders Siding & Windows to fix the water damage of the ceiling in the living room and the ceiling in upstairs bathroom. I'll pay $1,200 for a new chimney, but they will have to repair the damages. I want Eastsiders to guarantee there will no longer be leaking in the ceiling again with the new chimney. I also want the manufacturer lifetime warranty and system plus package that they wrote in the contract. Also, I want to negotiate for the remaining balance of $580 since I have to clean up the residues of the roof left by the workers since they didn't thoroughly clean up my house. It's reasonable that I should pay at least $290 for the outstanding amount.

Response:

I would like to start with the fact we do hundreds of homes each year and are GAF Factory Certified roofing installers.

Review: On may ** eastsiders signed a contract with rob and [redacted]. When rob called to get a start date [redacted]( from eastsiders), said half his crew quit to go work for a competitor and would not be able to do our job.

[redacted] called and spoke with [redacted] who said [redacted] underbid the job and they wouldn't do it. Not that half the crew left. [redacted] also previously had represented himself as an owner but turned out to be just a salesman.

While we were under the impression that eastsiders would do our roof job they had to fix my roof tarp to stop a leak. after saying they would fix tarp they paid outside contractor $350 to do that and billed us $600 for that.

When I left [redacted] the blueprints I also left a $2500 deposit check that they have not deposited & said didn't get.Desired Settlement: Drop the $600 charge. Pay the difference in what the new roof contractor charges me above what eastsiders was charging me to do the roof job.

Review: Phone call for home repairs. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST. The [redacted] that caller said she kew about the list, but would not tell me why she was calling me & ignoring or using the list. The number we called, ###-###-#### is not on the Do Not Call list right up to today 12/**/2014. Please visit [redacted] and be sure to add the telephone number above.Again, our apologies if our call bothered you.Happy Holidays,Eastsiders?

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because: The number ###-###-#### is not my # or the # they called. My number is on the do not call list. I told them not to call me the first time they called illegally but they ignored my request. I googled their # ###-###-#### & it came back to Eastsiders with numerous complaint against them. Obviously they ignore the do not call registry. Ihe [redacted] I spokt to told me their list is dated 2010 which is probably a lie. With numerous complaints against them They are NOT an good company. They knowingly ignort the do not call list, break laws & ignore requests to stop calling.

We would like to start with another apology since our call bothered you so much. Our lists are printed out almost daily and the company we get them from scrubs the DNC numbers from their database weekly. The company does try to make the list 100% accurate but inaccuracies obviously can happen. The fact that the number they provide for your address being inaccurate is an example of this. Please be assured we do not purposely call people that do not wish to be called, that does not benefit anybody. We will try our best to not call you in the future.Happy Holidays,Eastsiders

Then why are there so mant complaints online against your company. How could you call me using a number that was disconnected years ago which was not even the number you called me on. Fact: you called me several times illegally even after I told you to stop. You do not use the do not call list. Your excuse is nothing but lies. Your company is shady # not to trust for any reason.
