Review: Verbally requested invoice from company week of 8/15/16. Wife, [redacted], stated she could not do so. When

We did receive the following "proposal" dated 8/23/16.

1)Title 24 Testing--$440

2)Duct seal --$440

3)Platform--$330

4)Sheetmetal modification--$200

5)Electrical modification--$100

No other details given.

I left a check for the total amount of $1510 while my husband and I went to work, my father stayed to oversee work. Upon noticing no platform was being installed, my father asked the owner, who didn't seem to know that this item was on the invoice (prepared by his wife). He stated he would have it removed from the invoice, but still wanted my check for the full amount and stated he would write a check for the difference. A little while later, he offered to waive all charges if we waived an inspection. I felt this was suspicious and declined.

Then they didn't bring heat strips with them to complete the job and would return to do so. We let them know when the work was completed we would pay them the correct amount but wanted an updated (DETAILED) invoice of charges.

3 days pass. No invoice. No word from Eastwood. Our home warranty company calls to see if the work has been complete; we say "no". Eastwood calls an hour later (we are both at work) stating they'd be there to finish the job and expecting payment. We scramble to get a family member there. [redacted] threatens to take the unit if we don't pay (the warranty company paid for the unit, he cannot legally take it back). Never had enough advance notice to be able to leave a check; all of a sudden we can pay via credit card?

Let them know we never rec'd a DETAILED invoice--wife sends another one, simply with the "Platform--$330" removed. I yet again request a DETAILED invoice. I still have not received this.

Wife has consistently spoken to myself with a total lack of customer service skills--after her first refusal to provide an invoice I told my husband I wouldn't deal with this company and he took it from there.Desired Settlement: Partial or full refund, maybe finally our DETAILED invoice? And perhaps an APOLOGY?

So Thankful for John and his team!! We were beyond frustrated with the first company and our home warranty but Eastwood Air was the silver lining to that crappy storm. They picked up the job, made a commitment to come out the next day in the morning and they kept their word! They understood the urgency of our issue ( no AC for a week in the heat wave temps) very professional and were quick and thorough. Within a few minutes of arriving they identified what the previous company had done wrong, fixed the issue, ensured the work was done correctly and left us with an AC blowing cold air. John is an honest person who takes his business seriously and most important, takes his customers seriously.
