Easy Buy Auto Sales Reviews (1)

Review: Purchased a 1999 [redacted] from Easy Buy Auto Sales in [redacted]. PA on May 15, 2013. It took them 3 weeks to get the [redacted] ready for me to take off the lot.

Found out recently while waiting for the 2014 DMV license plate sticker. It never came. I called the DMV to find out why I didn't get it. The car was NEVER registered. The registration expired back in 2010. They suggested calling the police in the town where I purchased the car. They had me call the "local" police which is the [redacted] PA State police. They ran the plate that was on the car for the last 7 months, was for a 2001 DEAD [redacted]. Also, the check engine light has been on since purchasing. They can't diagnose the problem until I pay them $600 to fix the door that they broke back in August. The registration and Inspection were both fraudulently placed on the car. I am waiting to hear back from the [redacted] State Police on the license plate issue.Desired Settlement: I want the [redacted] to be TITLED to me with no more monthly charges and the door to be fixed and whatever is causing the check engine light to be on fixed. Which I believe is the transmission. I also want it to be fully registered.

Dear Revdex.com,

We are in receipt of your letter dated 03/21/2014 regarding complaint ID [redacted]. Our response is as follows:

This is the second complaint filed against us, with the Revdex.com, by the same person. The first complaint resolved to client's satisfaction.

The vehicle mentioned in this complaint,a 1999 [redacted], is no longer in the previous Lessee's possession. It is currently back in our possession, where it will remain. The vehicle was abandoned by previous Lessee in a [redacted] parking lot a few days before Christmas 2013. We received a voicemail from previous Lessee on 12/23/2013 saying that vehicle was broken down at [redacted] and in her words, "ya'll might wanna go get it." We have an electronic copy of the voicemail if someone from the Revdex.com would like to listen to it. On that date (12/23/2013) the previous Lessee was already two business days past due on payment #15. No clear indication was given, if previous Lessee wanted the car back or not.

We contacted the previous Lessee, retrieved the car, brought it back to our mechanical shop and found that the vehicle started right up with no issue. While we had the car we also fixed the door handle for the second time. The first time, several months ago, we replaced the handle at no expense to the previous Lessee. Please see attached invoice showing that client was charged $164.30 for parts and labor on door with no additional charge for towing the vehicle. The previous Lessee stated that we wanted to charge $600 for fixing the door before we would scan the car for the check engine light. This allegation is ludicrous, as we run free diagnostic scans on anyone's car who requests the service.

The following code was showing on this car: [redacted] — Catalytic System Efficiency Below Threshold.

Upon completing the installation of the door handle we contacted the previous Lessee to let her know the car was ready for pickup. The previous Lessee stated that she wanted a valid registration card for the vehicle, before hanging up on our office manager. The conversation prompted us to investigate why she did not have a valid registration card yet, as at the time of the lease signing, the previous Lessee was

provided a valid pink slip transferring one of our plates from another vehicle to this one. Upon investigation, it was determined that the

paperwork was rejected by PennDot, however we had never received rejection paperwork on it, and therefore had not realized there was a problem.

We called customer back a second time, specifically to ask if she still wanted the car as well as assure her the registration issue would be fixed immediately, customer was argumentative and hung upon again, without indicating if she wanted car back or not.

Previous Lessee has never called to discuss getting the car back, and has also not made any payments on the car during the time we've had it. As of today (01/28/2014) there are three payments past due (payments # 15,16, & 17) with a fourth payment (#18) coming due on 01/31/2014. The contract the previous Lessee signed states that the vehicle is eligible to be repossessed five business days after any one missed payment's due date. Making this car up for repossession on 12/28/2013, because we do not count Sundays or holidays that we are closed Dec. 24th & 25th. The contract also states that we have the right to put the vehicle back up for sale fourteen days thereafter. Based on this, we consider the vehicle repossessed for non-payment It is now back up for sale, as we have had no contact from previous Lessee asking to bringing account current and get the vehicle back, and we have far exceeded the 14 day waiting period.

As you can see from the due dates described above, at the time, regardless of delinquent payments, we were willing to work with the previous Lessee to fix the vehicle and let her get caught up on said payments. We no longer hold that position. Easy Buy Auto Sales does not wish to do any further business with the previous Lessee.

In summary, we did the mechanical work, we called her multiple times to try to get the,car back to. her, we addressed and corrected all the issues, she had. She did not respond to us, or make any payments during this time period, violating her contract, and then she made a second set of false allegation against us to the Revdex.com.

Due to all of these circumstances, Easy Buy Auto Sales does not wish to do any further business or reconcile in any way with the previous Lessee.
