Complaint[redacted]They have taken double payments out of my account on at least 3 occasions. They have not returned or applied the last double payment that was taken out of my account on Nove 28th. They said they would either return it or apply it for my December 15th payment. There is another payment scheduled to be taken out of my account on Dec 15th and the double payment has not been returned to me. I have emailed giving them instructions to keep the payment and not take another payment out until January 15th 2015 and asked them to confirm, which they haven't done. I called today and they are in fact scheduled to take another payment out on Dec 15th. I was last paying my payment on a few occasions and they contacted my supervisor at my work and left them a message saying they were calling from easy financial and needed to get a hold of me and would give my supervisor their number. [redacted]. They payment would have only been a week late at that point. When I am late on those months, they call my work phone non-stop throughout the day. I have asked them in the past not to take funds out of my account and that I would pay them directly from my account by e-transfer on online payment, but they would not remove my account information and would not allow me to do this option.Desired SettlementThey need to improve their practices, and stop calling my employer. provide more payment options and stop calling my work and stop taking double payments out of my account and resolve it instantly. I sent them my bank statements and it did show the payments went through 2 times. [redacted]Business Response On October 30, 2014, this customer's loan with easyfinancial was refinanced with the first regular monthly loan payment scheduled for November 14, 2014. This payment was returned on November 19, 2014 marked "insufficient funds" which put the account in arrears. At easyfinancial, our standard collections approach is to organize repayment first by attempting to contact the customer and then, if unsuccessful, to contact the customer's employer and/or references. After receiving updated banking information, a catch-up payment was arranged for November 28, 2014. An administrative error caused two payments to be processed on November 28, 2014 which led the customer to place a "stop payment" on the regularly scheduled payment of December 15, 2014. This payment was returned to us on December 18, 2014. On December 20, 2014, the extra payment taken from the customer on November 28, 2014 was applied to the payment due on December 15, 2014 bringing the customer's account up to date. The next regularly scheduled monthly payment is due on January 15, 2015. We also send email reminders to customers 5 days prior to payments being due as a courtesy reminder to help avoid any unnecessary payment defaults.We also encourage all customers to contact us directly if they are having any challenges making a payment so that we may partner together on any and all available alternatives.[redacted]
