I called James E [redacted] and true to his previous reviews on his website, he directly answered the phone He told me that someone would be in touch with me the same day, despite the fact that there were recent storms in the area and I knew they were probably busy fielding multiple calls from the area home owners To my surprise, one of James' associates called me back within minutes He said he would be in the area shortly after noon to provide an inspection and quote for the repair About 3:I sent a text to James associate (Mike) and asked if he was going to be able to stop by as he had promised A few minutes later, he responded and said he was trying to get there and was held up on another job site As I said, there were recent storms and they were probably busy About minutes later he sent me a text to let me know he was miles away He arrived minutes later We went into the barn to inspect the storm damage, and I was expecting to have hime observe the barn damage that had occurred during the recent storm and provide with a time I could expect a quote Instead, he proceeded to explain to me that until months ago he had been a car dealership manager Additionally, he said that he had ran several car dealerships in his career So when I asked him about his experience with roofing and barn structures, he told me that James was the expert and that I should let the insurance company come in and provide an estimate, and the repair would be VERY expensive In the end, he refused to provide me an estimate or take any pictures and continued to speak to me about people he knew that could work on other needs within my barn (concrete, gutters, etc) that were not within the James E [redacted] Construction company...they would give me an excellent deal Oh, I didn't mention yet that he smelled of cologne and was dressed up to go out, so obviously he was not at a job site earlier as he described or chose to stop by his house on the way here and take the time to prepare for a night on the town...all the time I'm thinking he is trying to get here Bottom line, thanks for wasting my time! I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone I know
