Review: I had a contract with Eatible Delights Catering to cover my wedding cocktail hour and reception. The contract agreement covered 120 plates of food for the guest at the reception. The owner informed me during the reception that his staff dropped a pan of food and about 6 guest would not receive green beans and pasta. He asked if he could provide a substitute and I agreed. At this time, I had no idea how many guest had attended the ceremony and reception. However, after going through all the rsvp's and cross referencing with who actually attended, there were only 100 people to be fed(including myself and the groom)-- It was brought to my attention that an entire table did not receive a plate of food. The dinner was to include, turkey, fish, pasta and green beans-an entire table didn't receive anything to eat. The table was offered a bottle of Vodka and a free meal from the catering company to take place on a separate day- The free meal was not acceptable as the plates for the guest were already paid in full 2 months prior to the event. My issue is that there were 20 less people than anticipated and the catering company was not prepared to provide food for the contracted amount of people. 10 people were not fed during the dinner portion of the reception. I inquired about compensation for the 10 people that were not fed. I requested the amount of 58.99 * 10=$589.90. I requested this amount because each plate cost 58.99 each. However, the owner expressed that he would provide $275 in reimbursement and a free dinner for myself and my husband. The owner expressed that he would not reimburse the $589.9 amount because the guest ate appetizers during the cocktail hour.Desired Settlement: Due to the inconvenience, I no longer want the free dinner offered and would rather have the $589.90 reimbursed for the 10 people that didn't receive dinner. The catering company did not meet the contractual agreement.
