My name is *** ***. My manager *** *** has been speaking with Mr *** about his situation. I was never told to call Mr ***. The damage on the table cloth is a result of some acidic substance that got on the tablecloth. It was not torn or pulled apartThe
holes are where the fabric just fell apart. The substance damaged the fabric and when the heat of the press was applied it caused the fabric to fail. Mr *** stated that this was a new tablecloth, it was not. It purchased in 2015! as evidenced on the receipt he left with us. We DO NOT have anything in our store or any of my stores for that matter that would do this. The damage is all over. We simply washed and pressed the tablecloth. We do these every day with no problems. Most likely something got on the fabric and it sat on it for a long period of time. If I thought there was anything we could have possibly done to cause this damage I would immediately pay for it. I did not help Mr ***'s cause that he was not truthful in telling us the age of the tablecloth. We did what any other dry cleaner would do. We did nothing wrong and were not negligent in any way. I am rejecting this response because:(1) It is not our fault that the Star Brite manager told us twice that he would have Mr. [redacted] call us and we didn't receive a call. That is an internal communication issue within Star Brite.   (2) Mr. [redacted] says the issue was an acidic substance and that there were no areas torn or pulled apart. I have provided an attachment with a sampling of some of the areas of damage that contradicts this. (3) Mr. [redacted] claims I said it was a new tablecloth. I did not state that. Mr. [redacted] claims I was untruthful, I was not. On the very first day this come up, we provided a receipt showing the purchase occurred in 2015. Regards,
