Review: I paid EB Tax Service to handle my tax issues for two years. I later found out that in both years errors had been made that cost me an exorbitant amount of money. When the company was contacted by the IRS about my liability they tried to "help" me by having me sign a payment plan and work towards an offer in compromise. When another tax expert looked at my situation it was obvious that I did not owe the entire amount in question, but EB Tax likely tried to get me to sign the paperwork to relieve themselves of the tax burden they imposed on me. After nearly two years of working to try to get an offer in compromise, the group was suddenly unavailable once we actually got a date to speak with the IRS. It is likely better that they did not get on the call with me because they have proven time and again that they are incompetent and incapable of completing their jobs.Desired Settlement: I would like EB Tax to pay the full amount owed to the IRS because it was due to their error that I am in this situation.

[redacted] to correct this problem by acknowledging the problem, setting upsetting up installment agreements and attempting an offer and compromise. We have communicated the steps to [redacted]. [redacted] throughout the process.

lI hired EB Tax service to complete my taxes and due to their incompetence I was charge $25k by the IRS. I am writing this complaint because they said that they would "finish the job" and help me to work with the IRS, but even the steps that were taken to "help" me were damaging to my case and when we finally had an opportunity to talk with IRS years later, his representative who was supposed to help went on vacation and was unavailable to answer any questions. I filed a Revdex.com complaint prior and he responded a month later so I thought I had a month to respond to complaint ID: [redacted]. I am re-opening this file because [redacted]'s response included documents that he says that I saw that were not signed by me. Therefore, he is now saying that I had information that I did not have about how little liability he was willing to take for his incompetence and resultant mistakes. I had to hire a competent lawyer who was able to help me so at a minimum, I would like [redacted] to pay for these fees and at a maximum, I would like him to pay the $25k of charges that he caused me.
