Ebb Tide Motel

Review: On 6/6/14, I checked into the Ebb Tide Motel, part of the Hitching Post company. In addition to paying for my stay, I paid a $50 key deposit charged to my credit card. I was told by the desk clerk that, when I checked out and returned the key, I would get the $50 deposit back. I was told this again on 6/19/14 by the same desk clerk. When I went to check out at 9AM on 6/20/14, no one was there even though the sign said that it was open from 9AM-6PM. She did not arrive until 10:15 AM.I returned the room key (#12) but she said that she had no cash and could not give my deposit back. She refused to credit my credit card saying that her boss did not allow it. She said that she would get cash later from long-term tenants. I pointed to a sign that said that rent was due on Friday by 11 AM but she said that was not so. She said that they do not write checks but that the cash would be mailed to me in Idaho the next day (ha ha). Obviously, this stunt is pulled all the time. As of 7/2/14, I have still not received anything.Desired Settlement: A check or money order for $50.
