Ebel's Auto Repair, LLC. Reviews (2)

I have found Ebel's Auto Repair staff to be very friendly and accommodating. My wife and have had them fixed both of our cars. [redacted] the owner takes the time to explain everything very well and what our options are. We have been very happy. We do highly recommend them.

Review: I had set an appointment to come in on 9-8-14 at 1:14 PM to have both [redacted]er assembly lights on front repaired (light bulbs were fine and those were to be left alone) on my Mitsubishi convertible and then one bulb on my [redacted]er lights in the back right side to be replaced -- that was all. Everything was working just fine including electrical. I have document to prove that was the only work they were suppose to do, and there is nothing in this document about break lights being out anywhere or that they were suppose to work on them or that I was having any electrical issues because I was not. I arrived at Abel's Auto Repair at their new location early. After a bit I go to see what the mechanic was doing...he had put used [redacted]er light assemblies on the front of my car. I told him to take them off because I never gave them permission to put used products on my car; for crying out loud the quote was $207.83. I informed them that I never put used products on my car. They had small holes and scratches. I was concerned about condensation with winter coming and they go and put used holy scratched assembly [redacted]er lights on my nice car in the front. I didn't show them I was upset. They put mine back and the owner has me pay him $10 cash to have the [redacted]er light in the back replaced, he doesn't give me a receipt and I didn't have time to ask for one because his mechanic was already at the back of my car. I had to get back there with him. So the mechanic moves to the back and starts scratching my car with my break light cover. I am telling him that is not what I am here for; there is nothing wrong with that light. He says, "Oh well, I replaced it!" Then claims that my break light had the wrong light bulb and it was burned out. I told him that bulb has been in there two years, there was nothing wrong with it and I just check it -- I have a fuse checker too. I kept reminding him he was scratching my car so I was holding the light cover for him. Then he moves to the [redacted]er light (we are located on the right side of my car at this time since being in the back) I am thinking get out of here...but, he has covers off so I couldn't just leave. He goes to the [redacted]er light on the right; finally, the right place where he is suppose to be replacing a bulb. The bulb breaks in his hands because is being aggressive, then he starts to yank out the broken glass. I believe this is how he cause the fuse in my car to burn out. My break light ended up going out and a few other lights went out as well that [redacted] ended up repairing. Ebel's Auto repair mechanic and the owner did not know what on earth they were doing so much so that they thought it was an electrical issue and got so frighten that they started treating me like a piece of crap. They were so nice to me until they made a mistake and then they turned on me. I am a girl, and know hardly anything about cars. I showed the owner that there were still lights working on my car so there was no way that my car had electrical issues as he was trying to blame my car for his mechanic breaking my lights. They allowed fear to consume them instead of taking responsibility for their actions and doing the right thing. I immediately went to [redacted] on [redacted] who then saves my car and charged me three times less what Ebel's Auto Repair was trying to charge me for the initial service quote and ends up breaking my car and scratched that area of my vehicle. I did ask the owner to do right by me and he said, "I can do right by you, pay for an electrical test and see what is wrong with your car." From [redacted]'s bill you will see that this owner knew nothing about electrical and he advertises that he does. His mechanic told me that he himself knows nothing about electrical and he hates working with it. That was the reason why I told the owner he was not touching my car and I was leaving to report him to the Revdex.com. I just kept saying you broke my lights.Desired Settlement: I want Abel's Auto Repair to pay my bill for wasting my time and the hardship they caused me. They refuse to do what was right period. The documents I can provide will show what repair I was going in for and what repairs I ended up going out with and paid for. If Abel's Auto Repair wants make this situation more of a hardship on me than necessary then I will go for a paint job in that scratched area in addition to what I am asking for. This vehicle has recently been estimated because it is a hobby car and I do nothing but throw money into it so those scratches under the break light covers will not be in this recent estimation.
