Review: Ebenezer Child Care Center was misleading and then avoided trying to resolve the issue with me. Over winter break, I was mislead regarding my child's coverage over the holiday break. My child had attended 3 days of child care, for a total of three hours. On the Thursday(my child's 2nd day in their care)before Holiday break, I was called and asked if my child would be attending child care over the break. I replied with no, we had that covered. So he would not be attending over the Holiday break. The call was ended and nothing else was said. After the break my child went back to child care and when we picked him up, this would have been his official 4th day in child care for a total of 4 hours, we were hit with $353 bill! Imagine our surprise. When we asked about the bill, they said, oh, well you were charged over winter break. We let them know that they had called us, we said no child care needed, so they knew we were not going to be there. They replied, yes, but you should have read the fine print, we're still charging you. after several attempts to try and talk this over and meet with them just so we can go over the situation and see how this will hopefully never happen again to anyone, we have been ignored. Our emails go unanswered for two or more weeks. Even as I am typing this out, I still await a reply from the last e-mail I sent asking to please connect with someone. Unfortunately, this is the only day care set up by our school. However, I know there has to be a better system out there for working families. Ebenezer has not only mislead us, they are not even willing to give us the time of day to meet so we can discuss this. I feel hopeless and we have know where else for our child. It's like they no we have no choice and all they care about is, "show me the money". It's a sad day for working parents who have to deal with this type uncaring, unapologetic resource.Desired Settlement: Ideally a full refund would be great! However, I'm willing to even meet them half way. Heck, if they would at least face up to this, apologize and make steps so this wouldn't happen again, that might even be enough!! At this point, for them to say 'hey, we messed up, I'm sorry', just really could be enough.

We have made several attempts to resolve this matter with Mr. [redacted]. I have attached several documents which verify that Mr. [redacted] was informed of our vacation/holiday policy upon enrolling and did sign acknowledgement forms stating he received these. Our Center Manager, [redacted] also verbally informed Mr. [redacted] of our policy. He states he came back from holiday break to a bill of $353, that is because Mr. [redacted] did not pay anything upon enrolling as is our policy. There is a $75.00 Registration Fee, he did not pay, a first week of tuition of $33, second week of $49 and then the weeks over the holidays that he is obligated to pay at $98 each (2 weeks), totaling $383.

He also makes a comment that you “have to read the fine print.” Our policies are clearly outlined in the Parent Handbook (page attached) that he received and there is no “fine print.” He also states “Our emails go unanswered for two or more weeks.” This is very untrue. We have a copies of streams of emails back and forth to Mr. [redacted] since he has enrolled and most of them are within 24 hours of receiving his emails.

We feel we have fully followed our policies an informed Mr. [redacted] of them and did not mis-lead him in any way.
