In response to the complaint sent to our office, we checked our records and came to the Conclusion that the customer mentioned in your letter owes the office for the preparation of his taxes. The customer mention in your letter didn't in any way tell us of his intentions in just getting an estimate when he came to this office he stated he wanted his taxes prepared. The year before his taxes were prepared and we prepared the EZ form for him, which is completely different from what we prepared this year,This year he had w2's and we prepared a substitute Wform, because he stated that he never received the original form, and he had a Miscthat required to add another schedule (Schedule C) and we had to prepare the long form, also he had unemployment. When his taxes were finished and it was time to sign he refused to pay because instead of a refund he received last year, he owed the IRS, unfortunately his income had doubled and the results weren't what he expected.Regardless We gave him a discount any way, at our office we strive to give customers a fair price but he refused to pay and leftThe price we charged him was only $as stated in the invoice included with this response. We are not holding his paperwork hostage in any way he just needs to pay for the work requested b? him at the time of the services that were finished While he was here. Also, we don't advertise any of our work for free. The problem is he never stated that he only wanted and estimate, (which is $40.00)He stated that he was here to get the taxes prepared and that was what we did, we prepared the tax report but he never paid, that's why we still have his taxes here, they aren't hostage, he just didn't payWe strive to work with our customers and give them a better priceNo complaints were received by this office until now.For many years we have done our taxes at a very low rate, our customers are happy to work with us as they know they are paying for a professional service worth years of experience.sincerely yours,S [redacted] , Sandy's Tax and Translations

Sorry to tell you but I am rejecting the response from the client that submitted the Complaint, because:in the first letter the client stated he assumed he would pay $60.00, and in the second letter he also stated that he is assuming he would pay $100.00, he obviously was assuming he was going to have to pay more.-->>He made it clear that he was AssumingI never lied to him told him his taxes were $165.00, the taxes were different from last year, and as I said before, but when his taxes were finished and it was time to sign he refused to pay because instead of a refund as he received last year, he owed the IRSunfortunately his income had doubled and the results weren't what he expected.PLUS, we have a chart with the prices for different forms.in addition to his previous discount we also submitted an extension to the IRS, free of charge so that he wouldn't have to incur extra penalties for been late filing his taxes.decided to end this Complaint by accepting the payment of $100.00, I'm still rejecting the complaint, but would like to resolve it.The taxes are done and I will e file for him after he pays.sincerely yoursS***

Complaint:
I am rejecting this response because:I assumed I would pay 100$ not 40$ or 165$ I was never informed of how much this was going to cost me this year so I assumed I would pay 100$ like the year beforeI do not appreciate being lied to! My intentions were to have my taxes done not get an estimate, though I did have competitors lined up to compete with the price I went back to from last years taxes
