Review: Spirit Brands is a cheerleading event organizer that hosts cheerleading venues. They scheduled a competition to be held on March 22, 2014 at [redacted]. They charge a fee of $45.00 per athlete and also make you book your hotel through them. If you do not book your hotel through them, you are charged a penalty fee by them. Without notice, they cancelled the venue on Thurday afternoon on March 20th. I was set to arrive at the hotel on March 21st. I called to cancel my hotel reservation. The hotel, the [redacted], stated to me that Spirit Brands was required to notify them 7 days in advance of any cancellations and since I was attempting to cancel one day in advance, they would not refund me the $140.12. Additionally, I tried several times to contact Spirit Brands and they do not answer the phone. Since Spirit Brands makes you book the hotel through them as well as charge a fee of 45.00, and they cancelled the venue, they should refund me the price of the hotel plus the competition fee.Desired Settlement: Refund of Hotel Fees in the amount of $140.12 and competition fee refund of $45.00. Total $185.12
