Review: Dear Sir or Ma'am:I, [redacted],a customer at your store purchased brown shoes on 11/5/2013. I went to several stores that day and came to the decision that I wanted your pair of shoes. However, you have a 30 days return policy to return items, but when I called your store on 12/9/2013 - the lady I spoke to stated on the phone stated I can bring the shoes back and exchange them. I told her I will probably exchange them and get two pair of shoes (One black and one brown). Any other discussions we had thereafter, she can discuss that with you.I arrived there on 12/10/2013 and I could not return my shoes because I did not have the box that was with them, however, the lady I spoke to on 12/9/2013 said that was not a problem. To make a 'LONG' story 'SHORT'; I purchased another pair of shoes (black) - which I was going to do anyway. The reason for even going to your store was because I liked the sole of your shoes (last 5 years). I spent total of $399.62 at your store and when a customer spent that much money (to conservative person, that is reasonable) - it is an investment into quality shoes and the run-around I received was not fair.As far as your staff, the service was professional - No comments in that area; but the process (and communications) could have been clarified earlier. Also, I shook your associates hand after my purchased and said thank you with respect.As a added note, I also purchased Christmas items from two other vendors in the store and I was treated very well by the women who worked there and I am very pleased with my purchases.Thank you.[redacted]###-###-####Note: Attached is my receipts of proofDesired Settlement: Return my shoes for a refund (the brown pair)

On 11/05/2013 the customer purchased a pair of dress shoes. Based on company policy we will allow returns within 30 days Of purchase on unworn merchandise for a full refund but with a receipt. This policy appears on the bottom of every receipt given and is also on display for customers to view at the cash register. Therefore we are entitled to rejecting returns based on our company policy after the 30 day time period.

The customer called the store on 12/09/2013 to speak with a manager to inquire about return his shoes that are beyond the 30 day time period after purchase. Upon explaining courteously and professionally to the customer that the store is unable to accept the return due to policy the customer demanded the manager should reveal her age. The conversation ended when he then stated that he assumes to be much older than her and therefore is entitled.

On 12/10/2013 the customer visited the store with his shoes and requested he return them, A different manager once again explained to him the company's return policy. The customer began to raise his voice in a hostile manner demanding that we accept his return and then publicly make discriminatory statements stating that the "Arabic man" and "Oriental man" that was in charge of his prior transaction be held responsible. He made various offensive and threatening statements to the staff on duty then requested to try on multiples shoes stating that he would come back and just return them. Ac the end of his visit he did in fact thank us for selling him the shoes he purchased that day, shook our hands, and then left the store.

On 12/18/2013 the customer returned to the store and returned the shoes he purchased on 12/10/2013. We were able to accept that return because it was within 30 days of his original purchase. He informed us that he would return on 12/20/2013 to once again attempt to return the shoes he purchased on 11/05/2013, Our company must abide by its policy as stated.
