Review: June 28th I called about getting a camp site for the holiday weekend and talked to a lady Kim she said she had some available if I wanted to reserve one she said I would have to leave my card information to hold the site but never said I would be charged anything she said I we could pay the price in full when we show up we also talked about our daughter being handicap due to being hit by a speeding car and in two leg casts and we had an appointment and may not be allowed to take her camping and Kim assured us we would not be charged and that we could pay on arrival we called to cancel so someone else could have the camp site due to not being able to camp per the doctor they said ok and canceled it two days later 44.00 dollars was deducted from my card when I called them about it the just hang up on me and won't talk I email them and they ignore me as well I feel this is theft I never gave them permission to use my card as we were told we would not be charged anything this place had be reviews about all this stuff if I don't get my money back I will sue this is so unprofessional as a business this place should be shut down they are down right rude liars and theives..Desired Settlement: Full refund with a full apology.

July 11, 2014I am in receipt of a letter of complaint written by a consumer that had a reservation over the Fourth of July Holiday here at the campground. I will attempt to give you a brief history of this situation.A week before the holiday a lady called in for reservations. She was told that she could pay in cash when she arrived and we would hold the site with her credit card. She spoke with one of our associates, Kim. Kim told her that there are no cancelations on holiday weekends. She is now indicating that she made a conditional reservation but I can assure you we do not take conditional reservations as it would be a waste of our time.She called in during the holiday week and said she wanted to cancel because her daughter had become disabled. She was told that we do not accept cancelations for the holiday. She was charged for one night with her cancelation. She then called in several more times, at an alarming rate, and was told we would give her a free night at the campground when we realized how upset she had become. We have e-mails on all of this.Her husband called several times and became very outraged at our policy and said his wife was not told about any of this. I spoke again with Kim today and she assured me that she had given this lady all of this information. She even laughed when I told her about the conditionalreservation. She said she would have stopped her on that instantly. Kim has worked here for three years and I have heard her take these reservations and she always gives a full disclosure.Our policy on this is no different than most campgrounds. I feel it is a fair policy and well defined on our webpage and we define it when the reservations come in as well. -If you have any questions on this or need additional information, please feel free to let me know.
