Hello, on 08-04-Mr*** brought his RV in for repairThe issue was his rear view monitor was inoperative, also his refrigerator was not working (which we repaired and did not charge Mr*** for)We diagnosed that the monitor itself was badLooked as if something had been spilt on it,
it would no longer would turn on and there was a sticking residue all over the monitorMr*** expressed that he was in a rush to have this repaired, he was heading out of town and needed this repaired ASAPMr*** took his RV home that dayWe did the research to find his original monitor, now years old is no longer availableAny inch monitor from that same manufacturer either would not work or was not available in time and was back orderedWe found a inch monitor that fit and also offered a wire harness to retro fit for his exact camera systemWe shared all info with Mr*** and he agree to pay 2nd day air shipping to get the monitor here on timeWe received the monitor on 08-08-and got Mr*** in that same dayWe installed the monitor with no issues at allWent over all the functions and cameras with Mr*** and from what it seamed he was very pleasedOn September 30th, now almost months later Mr*** arrives with his RVWe never received a single phone call from Mr*** about his issue with the monitor that was installedSo we dropped everything to assist Mr*** in this matterMr*** stated he was able to see the entire length of his RV on drivers side, all the way up to the front tire while using his side cameraMyself, *** *** explained to Mr*** that it is not possible to see all the way up to the front tireThe camera is mounted high on the mirror so it is impossible to see the front of his tireMr*** stated that since we replaced his monitor with another, (same size) monitor that it changed the picture received from the cameraI tried my best to please Mr***, I personally spent an hour and a half trying to adjust his mirrors for him to point the cameras further down so he would be able to see the full length of the bottom of his RV, at the end he was not satisfied so with his help I realigned his mirrors to the original locationMy conclusion still is that he was never able to see all the way up to the front of his tireI told Mr*** that since it was Friday, past PM it would be hard for me to get ahold of anyone so on Monday I will make calls to the manufacturer of the new and old monitor and as soon as I had an answer, I would give him a callI made the phone calls, to be told that the same size monitor will receive the same image of the camera but the manufacturer would contact engineering and get back to meThe next day October 4th Mr*** arrives at the shopHe was very irate and seamed nothing I could say would satisfy him, so he leftI have since received letters from an attorney demanding the old part to be returned and all the money refunded and now this Revdex.com complaintI feel I have been very reasonable, very willing to help Mr*** in any way possibleI have been repairing RV's for years, since I was a teenager, this is all I knowI 100% stick by my diagnoses, by me installing a new inch monitor for an existing inch monitor, capable with the existing wiring and cameras that that it is not possible for there to now be a different picture now only on the drivers side or any side Also if Mr*** was so displeased with the new monitor then why wait two months to come into the shop? Why not call, within the months I could have done my research, had an answer and all of this could have been resolvedMr*** is asking for an entire refundI am not willing to give an entire refundI know, Mr*** will continue to use the monitor I installed because that is the monitor that is now available and it works great! Mr*** paid $for his deductible, his extended warranty company paid the restWhich his extended warranty company agrees with meI will refund his $deductibleHope that helps:-)
