Echos Air needs to be FIRM in the initial phone call and STATE CLEARLY: We do not fix furnaces on weekends/holidays because we have ZERO PARTS with us and cannot get any Change the ad in the phone book to M-F service ONLY.When I called for "Service" that was what I expected - even a cleaning for the $ I paid But, nothing I was left minus the money and without heat with just promises for tomorrow if I submit to an additional plan A hospital does not offer 24-hremergency service and when you get there, they say they have no parts - we'll look at you today and fix you up tomorrow That is advertising.*** knew he was going to collect for Echos Air either way, took his time coming (a couple of hours after my call), brought nothing except a couple of tools and his invoice pad Not even his work shirt to represent the company I realize Echos Air backs him up by saying that it could have been a blocked air filter, so why bother with getting the service truck - BUT, never assume! Because of your assumption, and no parts whatsoever, whomever *** called upon that day - Sunday, March - he collected LOTS of money for Echos Air, and obviously gave them all the same story - no parts till tomorrow! No, I was not showing I was upset because I knew the Revdex.com is here for things like this, although I have never found myself in a position where I had to contact them before *** fixed the neighbor's furnace when the temps dipped below a month ago, and their guy came with a marked company van filled to the gills with equipment and tools and parts He was prepared for anything *** rode over in his personal truck - and yes, Echos Air thinks why bother to stop over and get his company's vehicle for a service call (for $ 125)?Thank you immensely for arbitrating between us Echos Air may be interested to know that I had my furnace fixed for $ by someone else They also wore a work shirt and had a company HVAC vehicle filled with equipment I appreciate the refund and will settle and accept the $ refund from Echos Air they which offered me for complaint # *** I do not know how comfortable they feel accepting exorbitant rates from seniors, single parents, and good citizens, but apparently they are all on board with it. Think again about recommending this company for 24-hr Service - theyu just do not offer anything on weekends and holidays and should say so Thanks a-lot -

ECHOS Air received the call from Ms. [redacted] on Sunday, March 8th.  [redacted] answered her call and told her the service charge was $125.  She agreed and he arrived within the hour.  After troubleshooting, he diagnosed the problem with the furnace and told Ms. [redacted] the furnace needed an...

induced draft motor and gave her the estimated price.  He also explained he would have to check the availability of the motor from the supply store which wasn’t open on weekends.  He explained that he could check that day, but the supply stores charge a premium to open the store during off-hours.  Ms. [redacted] decided it would be okay to wait until Monday rather than pay the premium the vendor would charge.  He told her he would find out the next day (Monday) and let her know. 
Per her request, [redacted] texted Ms. [redacted] the following day.  He told her the part was available and that its cost was actually $85 less than he originally quoted.  He never heard from her again until getting this complaint.
[redacted] did indeed drive his red truck from his home to hers rather than take extra time to drive to the shop and pick up the van with the ECHOS Air name.  Quite often, furnaces don’t need new parts.  It could have been a blocked filter or something simple that only required minimum tools.  Also, there are other tools and parts at the shop which he could have gotten if required.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to carry all parts to all the different furnace makes and models.  In this case, the induced draft motor Ms. [redacted] needed was for an off-brand furnace ([redacted]).  There aren’t universal induced draft motors that work for all makes/models of furnaces.  It is an OEM (Original Equipment Manufactor) part.
The reason [redacted] spoke of our Optimal Service Plan (OSP) is because it gave her an opportunity to get a 15% discount on the motor and any other parts she might need in the future and she would not have been charged an overtime fee or weekend fee.  She would have just been charged our normal service call.
Ms. [redacted] signed the work order stating she acknowledged satisfaction of [redacted]’s visit and he had no idea she was upset with him.  Had he known, he could have explained the situation more so Ms. [redacted] could understand that not all parts are available.
ECHOS Air is willing to refund Ms [redacted] $50 which is our additional charge for Sunday service calls.
