I was very unhappy and almost passed out when they said they had to break down my motor to find out the problem with my stabilitrak and traction controlAfter they did this they called and said I had to have a new engineWhen I asked what the problem was with the traction control they avoided the question telling me the few things they found wrong which didn't answer my questionSo I again asked what was the problem with the stabilitrak and traction control and they put me on hold after a few minutes they came back and told me again the few things they found wrong and a [redacted] asked the previous question and they said the best option would be to buy a new motor so I told them out it back together and and I'll pick it up the next dayThey then began to tell me they would have to replace the gaskets and a timing chain gear and chain cause it broke and would get back with me on that priceIn the end I had an outrageous price and they never could tell me the problemSo basically they just broke down the engine and couldn't find the original issue and couldn't fix it and still had me pay the charge that's insane

I called the service and parts departments at Rogers-Dabbs Chevrolet on Friday Aug12, 2016, and got a quote for getting a new remote key for my Suburban LTZ, I was quoted $for remote and $to down load program plus tax it would be about Was also told it would take about minutes to doI got a 9a.mappointment since I was driving from Hattiesburg to get the keyI got there a little before and it took them until to get it done and then they charged me over $for the remote and down loadDon't trust this dealership with what you are quoted over the phone

I went in for the same problem times in weeks. Finally I had to be jumped off twice at my work and the guys at my work found a very obvious corroded battery cable connection. It was so corroded it was eaten through. They did not see that on the other visits that week?Either they are very incompetent, took advamtage of me,or both.I will never trust them or go back there.Beware

I had a very bad experience with Rodger dabbs in Brandon miss I do not recommend buying from them they told me a flat lie about a dealer transfer from graydanielsFord they claimed the other dealer raised the price and couldn't sell the truck in fact what had happened I turned down a truck they tryed to pass off its bad business I have never seen anything like that they I bought cars from them in months how sad is this

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:
1-The Sales Manager originally ADMITTED that there was a problem and that they had found a similar documented caseSo that is a direct contradiction to their latter claim that this is operation2-The loaner vehicle (Terrain) did NOT have the same flickering issue with the lights3-The more recent issue with the interior panel lighting going out is obviously connected to the original problem, which indicates that something is not functioning properly in the electrical system4-The Sales Manager spoke directly to the MS State Trooper who confirmed that there was something wrong with the headlights and that it needed to be corrected5-The dealer's own driver who delivered the vehicle admitted that something was wrong with the lightsNONE of these previously stated items were addressed in the dealer's response. Furthermore, I have consulted with a local GM dealer who also said that this is NOT proper operation and that it presents a safety issue. Lastly, we have video of the extreme changes in the lights. These are the facts

We are sadden to hear of the rejected response, we wholeheartedly are attempting to right your current situation. As for the reasons for you rejection, we do not have any Buick Terrain loaner vehicles, of the state trooper, the driver, and the general sales manager, none of them have any technical training through the General Motors technical service school nor do they have any obligation to the statutes set forth in the General Motors warranty guidelines. The trained personnel whose responsibilities are verifying a warranty concern as well as the General Motors representatives that enforce the rules have all been involved with your vehicle and deemed the headlamps as "operating as normal". Again, we have not looked into any issue with the interior lights blinking and if you are willing to show our technicians the issue we will be more than happy to try to resolve any manufacture defects. We at Rogers Dabbs can only act within the requirements set by the General Motors corporation when it comes to the warranty process. We also are tolerable of any other General Motors motors dealership completing any warranty repairs that are necessary on your vehicle. Your issue with the headlamps is not something that Rogers Dabbs has to ability to repair due to General Motors telling us that it is a normal condition. We could replace every component in the system and it would act they same way. If you have an issue with the GM product please call the customer assistance center at 1-[redacted].

Thank you,
[redacted]

Mr. [redacted] brought his vehicle in for transmission issues and was quoted the standard diagnostic charge for an initial diagnosis. Mr. [redacted] stated he could not get the vehicle to shift out of third gear. We determined that the vehicle's transmission...

was full of metal and clutch material, at this point we recommended due to all of the internal damage, to replace the transmission. The cost comparison of replacing the transmission vs taking the additional time to remove  and tear down the transmission only to find that it would have to mostly rebuilt was very close yet actually cheaper to replace. Our recommendation of replacing the transmission was factoring in several different things such as a 3yr 100,000 miles parts and labor warranty vs a 1 year warranty for rebuilding. Mr. [redacted] was insistent that we remove his transmission, tear it down, and see if it would be cheaper to repair it. The service advisor [redacted] again tried to consult Mr. [redacted] to think about the replacement vs spending all the additional labor dollars to tear open the transmission based off of what he has seen while working in this field for the past 20+ years. The transmission was removed per Mr. [redacted] request, disassembled, and determined By the GM Master and ASE Master certified Technician that a replacement was the best option for this vehicle. Mr. [redacted] declined all repairs and wanted to pick the vehicle up. Mr. [redacted] refused to pay the removal and tear down price that was owed to be able to tell him the point of failure and argued that it should be covered under the original standard diagnostic fee. The service advisor tried to explain to Mr. [redacted] that he advised against the removal and tear down however since Mr. [redacted] was adamant about it, he was liable for the charges. Mr. [redacted] refused to pay the bill that was owed and was put in contact with the Service Lane Manager [redacted]. Once the Service Lane Manager was brought into the situation he tried to work with Mr. [redacted] to find a mutual resolve. Together Mr. [redacted] and Mr. [redacted] agreed upon paying the "shop cost" of $200.00 in lieu of paying the full $575.00 that he owed for the removal and tear down of his transmission, for Mr. [redacted] to be able to take his vehicle. We believed this to be a fair compromise for both parties involved. As Mr. [redacted] was leaving he assured Mr. [redacted] that he would be contacting the Revdex.com for the unfair treatment he had received. Mr. [redacted] has never brought up any other issues with his vehicle and we would strongly advise that if he was having a problem with a recently installed AC compressor to bring it in and let us check for a potential problem. If a fault is to be found with the compressor it is very likely to be under warranty. Any other issues Mr. [redacted] has with his vehicle, we would be more than happy to check into for him. There was also a statement made about the types of problems he was having did not properly correlate with the miles that he had on the vehicle. There is no mileage that dictates when and where things will wear out on your vehicle. We at Rogers Dabbs Chevrolet feel that the compromise that was originally made was more than a fair option.

I was very unhappy and almost passed out when they said they had to break down my motor to find out the problem with my stabilitrak and traction control. After they did this they called and said I had to have a new engine. When I asked what the problem was with the traction control they avoided the question telling me the few things they found wrong which didn't answer my question. So I again asked what was the problem with the stabilitrak and traction control and they put me on hold after a few minutes they came back and told me again the few things they found wrong and a [redacted] asked the previous question and they said the best option would be to buy a new motor so I told them out it back together and and I'll pick it up the next day. They then began to tell me they would have to replace the gaskets and a timing chain gear and chain cause it broke and would get back with me on that price. In the end I had an outrageous price and they never could tell me the problem. So basically they just broke down the engine and couldn't find the original issue and couldn't fix it and still had me pay the charge that's insane
