I signed with eclinicalworks (eCW) after they said it is customizable. The demo looked good, since they showed pre populated data. After golive, the picture of eCW comes out. It is very non-customizable EMR system. In HPI section, you can not type directly, you have "clicks..clicks' go to different window, then more clicks, then you would be able to type.
In ROS section: there is even more clicks...
Examination section a little better.
connection between RCM section and EMR is messed. There is direct access to patient chart from RCm. for example "ready to bill" to Chart....there is NO direct link/click available.
Prescription issues: not all prescription transcribed to pharmacy. when questioned, answer was that I have link/enter NDC code for the missing prescription.
There are many issues.. But I wonder HOW THOUSANDS OF MDs TOLERATING THIS NONSENCE! Are they not RECORDING what they supposed to record in EMR?
Whenever I talked to tech support, the answer is " this is the way the system is build up"
I requested to cancel my subscription with in a month, but they said that I have pay for the remaining contract. I am probably going to the court for empty promises.
