Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved.
Sincerely,

PS:
The company, Eclipse, sent me a check for $150.00 for a partial refund of the actual cost of this keratin treatment along with the attached letter threatening me. Ironically I had never contacted the Salon or it's [redacted] but rather the Dept. Of Consumer Affairs for ny and Revdex.com had contacted them.
Review: On June **, 2014, I went to Eclipse Hair Studio for a "keratin" treatment. This was the 24th keratin treatment I have had, and several were at this salon. I have gone to this salon since it opened and to the same haircutter, [redacted], for cuts and hair coloring. I have probably spent close to $1000.00-$1500.00 per year here. I have complained about a service performed here once before, only to my haircutter, when he turned my hair a fire engine red/orange color by mistake. I did not complain to any agencies though the action was egregious. I continued being a loyal customer to my haircutter and a generous tipper to [redacted] and [redacted], the woman who washed my hair. I am an honors graduate of an Ivy League College and a wealthy woman, a Benefactor of a major hospital. If someone told me I needed to buy a special shampoo & conditioner for this type of keratin treatment, I would happily have bought it. However I was only asked if I "have shampoo and conditioner." I was NEVER told this keratin requires a special shampoo and conditioner. For the record, when I returned two weeks after the keratin treatment for haircut and color here, my hair was washed WITHOUT GK products. The [redacted] of this salon, [redacted], recently got out of prison for drug related charges. The [redacted] of the salon, [redacted], is not customer service oriented, and has financial troubles. Had I complained about another salon in the past, there would be a record of such a complaint. However the [redacted] and the [redacted] refused to reply to my emails with photos of my hair, asking them what they suggested when my hair was frizzy after a three to four weeks, rather than staying straight for two months, as keratin treatments promise. This keratin treatment, is the only treatment out of more than two dozen, that has not worked. The [redacted] always told me "keratin treatments just need sulfate-free shampooso that is what was used. Also told me "any conditioner is fine." Now I need to buy another keratin process.Desired Settlement: Considering this is my first complaint about this salon or any other, I find it hard for the salon to justify not giving me a refund for this keratin treatment which clearly did not work. To blame it on specific products I was NEVER TOLD I HAD TO BUY, after the fact, is not fair. My haircutter, who applied the keratin, the [redacted] of the salon, and the [redacted] NEVER mentioned the mandate to buy GK shampoo/cond. FACT. Had they, I definitely would have bought them. No problem.
