I sent my cleaning to this Laundary mat for one day service on 03Jun13.Not all of my clothing returned and I was charged a ver high amount for my cleaning. I tried calling the [redacted] and his [redacted] 8 times today and no response during the day about this. When confronted the [redacted] about this no compensation was given, which in turn means all the clothing is lost or will not be returned. The clothes were cleaned for the advertised and agree to price. We have no interest in keeping any customers clothes. We are in business for the long haul and pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. All of our other customers repeatedly praise our service. This customer complains that we only lost the most expensive items in her laundry. And, she wants monetary compensation for it. If find this ironic and disappointing.My [redacted], who is also my [redacted], visited the customer's place of residence to pickup the clothes. The customer's residence was on the 3rd floor of a triple decker apartment building. The hallways were dark, as the ceiling lights were not functional. The building exterior was very un-kept. Upon knocking on the door and entering the customers apartment my [redacted] noticed a very disorganized place. There was little room to walk. Any piece of furniture in the unit was completely covered with clothes, papers and various things. The clutter overwhelmed the apartment. Upon receiving the customers laundry, my [redacted] delivered the clothes to the laundromat. Upon arrival, he personally counted all the clothes with my other employee to inventory all items. He proceeded to take the items that needed dry cleaning to our local dry cleaning partner. There again, he counted the articles of clothing brought to the dry cleaner. Once all items were cleaned, they were counted and bagged for delivery. My [redacted] returned to the customer's apartment to deliver the clothes. In retrospect, when we first made visit to the customers apartment it might have been a signal to us to question the use of our service. Without prejudice, we wonder if customer may not have been able to afford the service and may be attempting to recover funds. The challenge when questioning though is that thousands of customer's of various income levels use our service. So ultimately, who are we to decide. Although disappointed about the complaint, I would be willing to offer this customer a free cleaning (wash, dry & fold) of her laundry, up to 50lbs, which equates to 2 laundry baskets full. At $1.10 per pound, this is a $50.50 value. This offer is simply a gesture of kindness and one that hope helps mend our relationship so there are no hard feelings.
