ECO ENERGY HOME SERVICES Representative: David R Visit to my home: Dec 12, Promised Installation: Dec 15, After the home visit with David R., I was expecting thing to go smoothly, I booked the day off work on the 15th so that I would be available for the installers, I was at home all day, and by mid afternoon I had to call to find out where the installers were, spoke with Shawn, who informed me they were waiting for parts and would not make it to my home until Dec 17thI had been in contact with a local propane company who was going to install the propane tank and I was able to schedule them to be at my home on Dec 17th to put in the tank, so that it could be connected to the new furnaceI took another day off work and waited until 11:before the installers showed up finallyThey took my old oil furnace out, which I had been told from David Rwas 35yrs old NOTThe manufacture tag on the old furnace was The installers sat my old furnace outside on my lawn, and informed me that they would not be able to get rid of it as they did not have room it their van for a furnace that sizeA few days later after not hearing back from them, I had to arrange it myself to get it taken away On the day of the installation I had the propane company come in and install the tank so that it could get connected and testedThe installers were able to get the new furnace in that day, but never completed the job until 5:30pm, which by that time the propane company was gone and the tank could not be connectedThe installers packed up their tools and left after they reviewed the installation with me and left a programmable thermostat for me to hook up myselfI called the propane company and, as this is typically a busy time of year for them, they told me they could not make it back until Dec24th to hook up the tankBeing as I live in central Ontario, we had a few cold nights while we waitedDec 24th came and I had the day off work for the holidays, he connected the tank, and proceeded to complete an inspection on the furnace, before the propane could be turned onThe inspection failed, the installers has not grounded the propane line from the furnace, so the propane company would not turn on the propane I started by trying to contact the sales repDavid R., which when I called his cell phone it was no longer in serviceNext I called the 24hr service line, but did not get an answer, an automated message said stay on the line, and an hour later I had to hang upI tried a couple more times later in the day, and finally talked with a lady in the office, I told her what needed to be done so that I could turn on the heat, and I also asked her to have David Rgive me a callSo regardless to say went through the Christmas holidays with no heatFinally on Dec28th one of the installers did show up and was able to connect the ground wire that they had neglected to hook upI was notified by my wife who happened to be home that they were there so I left work to go and talk with themBy the time I got there he was finishing up, I asked him if he could start up the furnace to test it to make sure it was OKHe stated to me that this was the propane company's job and he leftI contacted the propane company and told them the propane line was finally grounded, they said it would be safe now to turn on the furnace, so I turned it on myselfIn all it took days from the time my old furnace was removed until we finally had heatThe was a major inconvience for my family especially over the holidays and dealing with minus to minus degrees at night, we had to resort to other means of heat to keep our home from freezing This sales rep (David R.), did nothing but lie to us from the time he came into our homeHe lied about the year of our current furnace, about the perfomance of how well it would heat area's of our home that we not getting sufficient heat flow from our current furnaceHe told us that with the air flow from this new furnace there would be no problems have consistant heat through our whole houseThis is not the case, the areas that were cold, are still cold When we talked to him about service he told us that they had one of the best service departments in the industry and that if I did need service it would be the same day or by the next day at the latestFrom what we experienced during the installation on how good the service is, I have already lost faith in another claim by ECO Energy He also told us that the furnace comes with a $programmable thermostateAfter looking at the thermostat the technision left with I did not get it installed as y current one was a much higher qualityThe one that was left was only worth about $Anther claim by the sales rep Our experience with the ECO Energy sales repWas one of nothing but [redacted] , He only had one interest and that was to make
