The issue with Kathleen is not a warranty issueI installed the product over existing asbestoss tiles in the basement which some were loose an others curlingI told Kathleen that I do not deal with this and if she wanted it removed she would have to call a
mitigation companyShe told me she wanted the floor layed over like the previous carpet was using the existing tack strip which was nailed into themWhen I arrived at the job site the day of install Kathleen did not answer her phone and was not home I sat and waited for an hour for her to come home because I had absolutely no open days to do the install any other time before her son got home and would be living in the areaOnce I finally got in the lower steps were not built as she had told me when I had bid the jobI told her it would be additional money to fully upholster the steps since they were not boxed off by a wall how we had talked about previous to the finishing of themshe was outraged and said she would not pay for itI wanted the customer to be satisfied so I upholstered them anyway the correct way which should have paid an Additional $at some point before I got there she had also decided to pull up and pile the carpet in the bedroom in the basement which was not part of the installation I was there to doShe asked me to dispose of the carpet and measure the room for carpetI told her it would be $to unbundle the pile cut it in to appropriate size pieces for disposal and haul it awayshe told me this was too much and she would do it herselfI gave her an installation price for the bedroom including product but informed her I did not have an opening before her son would arrive to get it installedthe product also had to be ordered and shipped from Georgia before we could set an install dateThis is when she decided to start telling me about what I had told her already was a loose tile from her existing asbestossshe was using this as an excuse to have to come back to fix the loose tile to you have to install the bedroom at that time which I had already told her I couldn't until a later date, when I had a free day and the product had to be orderedI told her that any repair not related to the installation of my products was subject to a minimum install charge like an existing issue with the floor in an old houseI feel that Kathleen is upset because she wanted the bedroom installed which was never talked about or paid forI feel she is trying to get something for freeI completed my install and went above and beyond doing free work to try and keep the customer happyI have been in business years and run completely on word of mouth working every single day of the weekI feel this is completely out of line and that she may never be satisfied with any outcome

I am rejecting this response because: There was not an offer of a resolutionJust a lot of complaining, much of which was untrueSimple facts are that he installed carpeting and I notified him the next day there was a problem with installation in one areaHe agreed to come out and assess the situation, and never showedHe now is saying it is a tile issue, but has never made a visit to determine if that is trueI have emails from him stating it could also be an installation issueHe doesn’t really know because he has not evaluated the issue after the installation
