Dear Ms***:
We are in receipt of your most recent correspondence, dated March 20, 2014, along with a
homeowner complaint, attached thereto, containing allegations of wrongdoing on behalf, arising from the installation of a roof system at the above-mentioned Subject Property, in 2010. As such, we hereby submit this formal written response as follows:
Eco-Friendly Remodeling and Construction, Inc., is in no manner responsible for the damages alleged, nor are we in way connected with Hi-Tech Design and Construction, Inc., whom we believe was the general contractor on the project. Upon further investigation, we learned that the installation of said roof system was performed, in part, by *** Design, a subcontractor who we have, on past occasions, also used on remodeling/construction projects unrelated to the complainant, *** ***, or the Subject Property. Despite these facts, and because of our prior use of, and collaboration with *** Design on other unrelated projects, we sought to assist Ms***, forwarding her concerns and coordinating with subcontractor as they sought to undertake remedial measures
We have been informed that the leak in the roof has been repaired. We further verified with Ms***, that during and following the most recent most recent 3-day rain storm, there was no further water penetration. We understand the ceiling may have sustained some discoloration or water stains, caused by the prior leak, and have relayed to Ms*** the subcontractor’s willingness to repaint and color match that area
Over the past weeks, we have been in communication with Ms***, and have continually sought, in good faith, to address her concerns. The courtesy we have extended to Ms*** has been met with no small amount of enmity. She now demands a entirely new roof to replace one that was only recently installed, and has been repaired to perfectly function as intended

I have received the complaint and I am looking in to it right nowWe will contact the customer and set up a meeting with him as soon as possibleThank you!

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  3/18 Eco Friendly has contacted me and I told them that my roof is still leaking.  They said that they would need to verify that, they have made no other attempt to contact me nor did they send anyone out to verify that my roof is still leaking.  It is true that they did not do the original work but have purchased the company that did and there for have taken the responsibility for the contract that I have with Hi-Tech and need to honor the warranty.

I'm writing to complain about Eco Friendly Remodeling (license #366984) of Tustin, CA (with their office we dealt with in on 1662 Center Point Drive, Milpitas, CA). The work was for full bathroom remodel (complete gut), garage update, brand new patio enclosure, guest bedroom update and living room update (five items). Eco-Friendly's representative was [redacted]. We had decided between 2-3 contractors but Mr. [redacted] had come to our house a number of times and felt he can get the job done and within our time and budget. We went with the decision to go with Mr. [redacted] and Eco-Friendly Remodeling.
Work commenced on September 1st, 2015 and we were told that the work will be completed "in about 6 weeks". We received the actual contract a couple of weeks later by the time the work had already commenced and had already paid 25% of the contract. By the first week of October, we had already paid more than 40% with the promise the work will be done "as promised". Even though we discussed that we paid more up-front than what the contract stated for, we felt Mr. [redacted] was being honest because he felt that the garage and patio enclosure needed extra concrete so that it would be stable. He stated it would take a "little while" for the concrete to become solid to continue the work. By about mid-November,4 of the 5 items (minus the living room) had not been completed. In fact, the bedroom wasn't usable (habitable) and the bathroom was still in a "gutted" situation. The garage was is in 90% "functional" condition and the patio enclosure's floor was neither completed with tile and paint nor was it level - which required more concrete to be added. By then, we had already paid for 70% of the work with the promise that the work will be completed in a few weeks.
After being upset that work is not proceeding according to promised times, I had called their company headquarters. I had spoken to a lady named [redacted] who told me she was the assistant to the owner, Mr. [redacted]. After discussing our situation, we were given another representative from the company, [redacted]. At first it seemed that Mr. [redacted] was interested in helping us, but by 2-3 weeks, he was not only not willing to help, he had blocked my phone calls and text messages. During this time, no work on our house was being done.
After a number of weeks of more frustration, I had called their headquarters again and once again spoke with Ashley.
By December 31st, after dealing with [redacted] and [redacted], Ashly introduced us to [redacted] (last name not noted). Like Mr. [redacted] previously, [redacted] seemed like he wanted to help but by the 2nd week of February, he no longer wanted to help us and the work was progressing at a very, very slow pace. In fact, none of the four aforementioned items were completed.
One February 12, 2016 a different [redacted] (supposedly the Manager), who's based in the L.A. area spoke to me via [redacted]. He told us to get 3 licensed contractors for an estimation to complete their shoddy work as they will not be doing the work anymore and after some discussion he agreed that when he will visit the bay area he will come and see the job himself.
After 5 1/2 months of uncompleted and shoddy work and after paying for more than 70% of the work and being lied to repeatedly, being in constant mental torture by these people my house is a mess with dust, incomplete and shoddy work which is affecting my family especially my 19 months old kids due to which I have no option other than to finally to contact the Revdex.com.

Review: When we purchased or Solar System from Eco Friendly 4 months ago, we were told we would not have to make any more payments to Southern California Edison and that ECO Friendly would now be responsible for managing those. This was a lie. We have had to continue to make payments to SCE since we paid Eco Friendly for this system. So far ECO friendly has only paid one months charges. They sent us another check a couple weeks ago, but used the wrong name on the check so we could not cash it. They have not sent another check to correct their error. I have made several calls to ECO Friendly about a multitude of things each one finally getting resolved after calling many times. ECO Friendly has yet to return more than a single call regarding our account that remains open and delinquent.Desired Settlement: I have sent three SCE bills which we have had to pay out of our own pocket. I faxed these bills as requested by ECO Friendly to them and they have not paid them. I want payment for these three bills in full.

Review: I had a roof installed in 2010 by hi-tech now eco friendly it leaked that winter they(hi tech) fixed it immediately. This Dec we had a very light rain I came home to have my piano bench, computer keypad & desk wet, as well as my wood floors wet & now covered by pots to catch any additional water. My elderly handicapped mother was home and placed towels on my computer & piano and put pots on the floor to catch anymore rain. I called the number for hi-tech which was now eco friendly to have them come repair the leak and fix the huge stain I now had on my ceiling. It took them almost 3 weeks to come out and when they did it they were late & sent someone to look at it who had no ladder. Then it took another week to have someone come & repair it. Only for that person again not have a ladder or actually be the person to fix it they were coming to look at it again. Then another few weeks before someone would come & repair the leak but I still had a stain. Now I'm being told I need to have someone verify that the warranty is still valid and someone else to look at the work that was done and still someone who needs to paint. I took another few weeks of back & forth calls appoints made that they never showed or were 8hrs late. I finally on 2/8 got someone to paint but still no inspection even though that person was supposed to show up as well but didn't. I called again Tues and had an appointment with the supposedly inspector today only for him to be almost 2hrs late no ladder calling me honey & sweetheart & ask me why am I here whats the problem. He asked if he could get on the roof I said yeah of course but he just stood on my lawn looking up. He then asked if there was access to the crawl space I said yes & showed him & he looked at it & asked for a ladder. I said I didn't have one why didn't he bring one he said well its fixed. I said how can you tell there's been no rain & you didn't go look. He then said honey I'll make an appointment with an inspector. I've missed several days of workDesired Settlement: I don't what type of settlement I could get or would be acceptable I'm at my wits end dealing with the company. For them to pay for a new roof by another company, a refund for the leaking roof I have. I'm just so frustrated on how they jerk me around & can't keep appointments show up without proper equipment or give me what I paid for a roof with no leaks & warranty!

Review: I had a weak moment and signed up for Solar energy recently. I have terrible buyers remorse over this contract. I am 85 yrs old and often do not think clearly. My son [redacted] is trying to work on mediation with the contractor. The contractor's name is [redacted] @ [redacted]. He is not returning [redacted]'s calls...[redacted] has delivered the product, but no installation has started. I want them to take the product back. I have not paid them the $23,500.00 yet. They want to pull this money out of our trust. I have throat cancer (and recently lost my wife [redacted] and will not be around to reap the benefits of solar energy. Why would one sell solar to an 85 year old man? Please help me to turn this fiasco around.Kindest regards,[redacted]Desired Settlement: To have some compassion and mercy, to be released from my contract obligation. For [redacted] to come and pick up his product from my property.
