Review: cleaner told price was 18.00 for a coat tobe cleaned and they would accpt the 40% coupon that was in a coupon mailer direct mail from said cleaner -- And when I got my receipt for said coat they changed the agreed price to a higher number-- when asked why cleaner stated its a different price with the coupon This was not advertised (higher price with coupon) and no signage was posted about this improper change of price --This is false and covert way to do businessDesired Settlement: I want the price I was promised and a refund for the difference of the shady way they approached this

Response:

One time customer [redacted] inquired regarding 3/4 length coat price via phone.

We informed her that 3/4 length coat cleaning price is approximately $18.00.

However, our official coat pricing depends on coat length and material such as follows:

3/4 length coat - $18.00

1/2 length coat - $15.00

additional charge with a hood/belt/special material/fur trim/leather trim/stain and such.

When she actually brought the coat in, we charged her $15.00 for the green coat with extra $5.75 for fur trim on the coat. With 40% discount she paid, $12.45.

We do not practice in any shady ways and we did not hide our pricing practice.

Our ultimate goal is customer satisfaction. If she would still like, she can receive $1.65 refund which is the difference of 40% of originally mentioned $18.00.

We apologize for the misunderstanding but this is not a malpractice of any kind but rather a standard charge practice depending on the trim/material/length/condition of coat or any clothing at dry cleaning retailer.
