Thanks to the [redacted] tech that came out for a routine inspection of our HVAC system yesterday. He informed us that the work done by Eco Rehab late August had a few problems like trash left behind and duct work not insulated. Oh, and a little thing like the flue pipe from the furnace was disconnected which was pumping carbon monoxide into the house every time the furnace ran. It's a wonder we didn't die in our sleep.
I called Eco Rehab immediately but of course they really could't be sure they caused this issue. I can assure you I wasn't up there. The last person in that space was the ** guy that came out last month to inspect and reported what a wonder job was done. It's possible he caused this issue by bumping the flue pipe. Or the roof rats. I'm just glad I'm alive.
Eco Rehab will come out tomorrow. Two days after reported.
Thank again to the [redacted] tech that reconnected the flue pipe and secured with screws and glue stuff.

I contacted this company in response to an infomercial on CBS morning show. It was an extended "interview" type explanation of their service which was authorized by APS for their energy program rebates. We did have a particular problem that did not respond to ordinary fixes with our heating/cooling system. I called for an energy audit. They could not have been nicer during the appointment process, testing, presentation and contract details.Work was started on the appropriate date, crew members were hard-working and polite. Different ones left and others came, one quit, work dragged six hours longer than estimated. Unfortunately, supervision and materials, equipment and supplies were not properly provided and problems arose. The work was not finished at the end of the day. One missing part and some damage and other things I pointed out were left for someone else to do "later". My home and yard were found to be littered with debris. Their contract provided for their taking balance of payment when work was finished. Later I learned that they had taken their charge payment on the day designated for the work to be started. Finishing of work dragged across several appointments/weeks that caused me to have extra work here and were an expense to me. The attitude was that "when in the area, if time, some day, etc., til I had to call to say I had noticed that this "someday" hadn't happened.I waited, while paying a staffer here, for a worker that was otherwise occupied. It was fully explained before we signed the contract that we would be unable to do any clean-up, and that the house needed to be left in the clean condition in which they found it. Damage was done that was permanent, fixes were cosmetic only on one explicit problem, and no fixes at all on the items that were damaged/lost. Most of the damage was as a result of improper preparation/protection, appropriating and using space and entry that had not been authorized. Furniture was moved that I had to try to move back myself because of the poor position they had been left. I have now learned, since they have dismissed my concerns and not made contact in any way, that they have no intention of presenting any remedy. This was a costly project and we didn't need to have further expenses. Some damaged items had to be discarded. One is permanent as we cannot do these things ourselves and have no funds to find individuals to do the necessary work. The salesman alluded to a credit that never happened. Verbal promises were just that. Our additional expenses have cut into funds we need for nursing help here at home. There has been no concern, no contact. APS will be no help. They say the work was done. I asked for them to check because, since our experience was unexpected, and we couldn't climb up to see for ourselves, we wanted to be sure. Beware. This program allows contractors to abuse APS customers with no recourse for the customer. EcoRehab violated the terms of their own written contract by collecting the balance before the work was done, giving us no leverage at all as to the damage and expense we have experienced. We have many other details of unexpected outcome after dealing with this company. Considering that there are other companies in business to do this same work, that are also authorized by APS by whatever their terms may be, I would suggest you proceed with caution with any of them, because there is no real support from APS. I'm calling this "negative" because we have bonus bad issues after expecting only a good effect from this work. These are different people from the (same)ones we dealt with before the work was started and the contract signed. This must be their method. A bad one. Most disappointed and frustrated; if you are seniors, disabled, unable to accomplish strenuous clean-up/corrective work on your home, side effects of "services" of companies like this, with limited funds, this is your warning.

Beware of what you are promised. I was told I would receive $500 in federal tax credits and $600 in rebates from SRP. Turns out the federal tax credit expired in 2013 (last year) and I only got $350 back from SRP.

Yet still, my energy usage goes up a little, never down. --Confused in Mesa.

Ecorehab has done a wonderful job for us. They were professional all the way thru. Every person we worked with along the way, was pleasant, polite, knowledgeable and really wanted us to be happy with all of our services. I will be calling them to do more work, things we had not considered but would now like to do.
My house is cleaner, I no longer cough my head off with my system turns on.And I am no longer vacuuming insulation.
Our rebate showed up as promised. They came ,each appointment was on time, cleared up any questions, explained every step and what it would do. My husband was home due to the weather and he was impressed with the services, answers to questions and the cleanup after. He is really picky being a contractor himself and knows good work and service when he sees it.
We will be calling again to do more of the suggested work.
