Eco Turf Georgia Reviews (%countItem)

While being serviced by ECO Turf, a fungus destroyed my yard and all the owner gave me was excuses. Hardly even tried.
Since 2018 ECO TURF treated my lawn. The agreement was they would treat when it was needed. I explained I wanted a top notch yard and would pay what it took. For a while things were great and I praised him. Their commitment was to take care of me and for me to reach out whenever it was necessary. Beginning in the spring of 2019 I noticed discoloration to areas of the yard. I called ECO Turf who stated, animal waste, too much water, too little water and bad soil. Some of this may have been part of the issue but the facts are to do what it takes to fix the discoloration even if it included digging up and removing diseased areas even at a cost. It continued to spread and when I reached out for help ECO Turf had an issue with that and excuses with no action. I have emails where he is ugly. Once he sent me an explanation and when I responded he was angry stating he was on vacation. Why send me an explanation if you are not prepared for a response? I explained for any amount of money I wanted it resolved. Finally they stated it was fungus which is what I had diagnosed 2 months prior but he blasted me. I have the emails. He does not like to be questioned and reacts like a child. My lawn was beautiful but now it is a wreck. It will cost thousands of dollars to repair. ECO Turf knows this but has not offered any suggestions even at a cost except for one treatment that I paid extra for with no results and no follow up. I withheld payment on the last two services to get a response but all he did was threaten to turn me over to collections. I paid and lost my leverage. I didn't want just a call back but an action plan and a commitment of what they were going to do. All I want are solutions and action and would have paid anything but they evidently do not care. I have before and after pictures and photos as it progressed. Now the grass is going dormant but the same areas that have been there since the spring are a different color, dead, diseased. His last comment was it was dormancy discoloration?? Again taking no responsibility and another excuse. He doesn't have to like me but bottom line his misdiagnosis no action and no follow up has ruined my lawn. ECO Turf needs to be held responsible. Photos, payments for services and emails do not lie. Other yards in my area had the same fungus which I understand was going around but all of them are in good shape now. Again the point is I would have done/paid anything but ECO Turf did nothing. Problem is he doesn't want to be a professional and own up to his failure.

Desired Outcome

To repair my damaged lawn at his cost. I went to the best lawn in the neighborhood to the worst. This severely impacts the curb appeal and value of my home. If you need my detail, payments and photos I will be more than happy to provide. This man thinks I am a pest. I just want results and who wouldn't? Again I would have paid anything. And if he couldn't do the work refer me to someone to take care of the issue. That is what professional companies do. Their lack of follow up and not doing what it as going to take has put me where I am.

Eco Turf Georgia Response • Nov 25, 2019

We are having a great day at ECOTURF, we hope you are too.

The complaint comes as a surprise to me, and I am thankful I have been given the opportunity to respond, I have been treating Mr. lawn since June 2018. The estimate provided and approved by Mr., explains the service Eco Turf provides, based on our licensing. 8 treatments throughout the year based on weather and lawn conditions. Providing lawn fertilization, weed control and pre-emergents. Fungicides are not part of the treatments as I will only offer it if needed. We do not have the proper equipment and licensing to remove, dig or replace any part of the lawn. Mr. Watsons was made aware of this when he asked in an Email dated July 28th 2018.

While I was out of the country, in July of 2019, Mr. had a concern, which he texted and emailed me about. Which I told him I was on vacation and will be sure to address it upon my return. He continued to send me multiple emails. I paid out of pocket to hire an expert to *** his lawn and get back to me with the regard. The outcome was "large patch" which is a fungus on bermuda lawn, that grows when the grass is not properly cut and over watering. According to Mr. he was watering the grass daily. Which excessive watering was causing the fungus. While waiting for my flight back home, on July 15th 2019 I texted Mr *** asking permission for the approval of the fungicide application which was to be done the following day. Mr. did not reply to the txt, I proceeded to follow up via text that morning of the 16th, asking again for approval for the treatment. He then responded, with asking the price, I gave him 25% off the treatment. He approved.

The treatment was applied on July 16th, 2019. I did a treatment follow up on July 29 and fertilized accordingly. The fungicide treatment was not paid until August 6th, 2019. Although, service invoice was provided within 24 hours of treatment. During this time I spoke to his wife, which was the in home contact upon completing onsite treatments. Mrs. would have multiple questions, which I happily answered accordingly assuring proper details were provided. She mentioned that Mr. had cut the lawn too short and it turned brown. This is a common mistake homeowners make, when mowing their own lawn. As the lawn must be cut according to temperatures, to prevent stress. Mrs. also mentioned their lawn was being watered by hand. They have a 7,000sq ft lawn that would take approximately 3 to 4 hours to water properly by hand. I suggested a sprinkler system will facilitate watering the grass.

Another follow up treatment was conducted on September 3rd, 2019. I treated accordingly. Even again, after this invoice was unpaid for. I went ahead and conducted the last treatment and follow up which was on October 3rd. Mr. paid for treatment done September and October on November 19th. Mr. mentions he was willing to pay anything at any cost, however, I am only licensed for treatments. Anything out of my expertise would need to be saw it out by him, making the decision to look elsewhere for service I do not offer. Which again, I mentioned from the estimate provided via email explaining strictly what Eco Turf offers.

The discoloration on his lawn is due to the fact, that their are different types of bermuda grass, Mr. mention on July 28th, 2018 that there used to be trees on the discolored areas. Having two different species of grass will cause the grass to have different shades of green. The city also did some digging on his lawn for wiring purposes and replaced those pieces with different sod.

I have gone above and beyond suggesting different methods of addressing his concerns. Mostly after treatments when Mrs. would approach me. I expected for the communication to have been delivered to Mr.. As I also am sure to follow up with an explanation and recommendation after each service via email.

I have never given Mr. excuses, I was absolutely professional and respectful as I am with all of Eco Turf's clients. I simply suggested what needed to be done to his lawn, according to his input. Based on my experience and licensing. Mr. did not want to take the advised seek and constantly criticized my expertise. Again, follow up treatments were being conducted despite unpaid invoices up to 60 days late. I was not demanding payments prior to follow up as I was overly concerned with addressing Mr. Watsons concerns.

Mr. demanded I met with him at his lawn after business hours. I told him that the desired times Mr. mentioned, would not work for me. As I have a strict business schedule and after business activities. I suggested a different time and also called him to further discuss his concerns on November 18th at 2:08pm. Mr. did not respond to my call. With two unpaid invoices from September 3rd and October 3rd, I reminded him of the past due invoices. Mr. emailed me this "I would suggest you call me or you will not like my next step" on November 13th. I again reminded him of the unpaid invoices and asking the best time to call him. He did not respond. I have other lawns in Mr. neighborhood which I treated on November 18th, I noticed his lawn had dormancy discoloration, having two types of bermuda grass will have an impact on different areas showing deeper discoloration. I was sure to make Mr. aware I assessed his lawn that day noticing the discoloration. Mr. repIied with "My reason for wanting to speak was to see what could be done to make sure I come back strong next year but all I get from you are excuses. What are you 3 years old?" I did not feel comfortable making time out of my business hours to personally meet him after he made a threat and disrespecting me by calling me names and asking if I was three years old. Mr. asked for suggestions, however, when provided with my suggestions based on my expertise he continued to disregard them by saying I was only giving excuses. I decided to keep paper trail of our conversations, as again, I did not feel comfortable meeting Mr. after business hours, as he desired.

Mr. mentioned he found another expert to treat his lawn, I replied to his email by wishing him the best of luck. Solutions were always provided, unfortunately, we do not water nor cut lawns. Cultural practices must be followed accordingly in order to have the proper care for the corresponding type of lawn. During all this time of continuous back and forth by Mr., Georgia was being hit by a severe drought, causing stress on lawns, specially if not watered properly or mowing improperly. Mr. mows and waters his own lawn.

I fully respect all my clients and I am blessed to have them, Eco Turf has grown fully on referrals and positive online reviews. My clients know that if followed instructions provided they will have the best looking lawn. There is nothing Eco Turf can do to repair the damage that Mr. thinks it is. Again, my suggestions and treatments would have addressed all concerns. If Mr. also followed the instructions on what he must do on his part to assure his lawn looked the best way possible. I always recommend clients who have no expertise on mowing to hire an expert in mowing. To avoid stress on the lawn.

Overall, I did not fail to follow up and provide Mr. suggestions based on my expertise. Mr. chose to call my suggestions excuses and not take them into consideration. I was never rude nor unprofessional. Although, payments were constantly late, I still followed up with the treatments and assessed his lawn. We do not offer the option to provide services outside of licensing "at any cost". Thankfully Mr. and I, both, keep track of all emails and texts conversation. I will be more than happy to provide them.

Eco Turf was awarded best business of 2019 in its category for the city of Loganville. We also prove continuous 5 star reviews in multiple platforms.

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to respond and address Mr. complaint. If any further information is required, please feel free to contact me.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I will provide an affidavit from my wife that these conversations did not happen and on his service invoice has a place to write his directions to which I request he provide. They do not exist regarding the fungus. My wife also did not state I cut the lawn too close which will also be included. I will also provide his emails sent regarding his findings. He is correct. He did state over watering but at the end of the day it was drought related. All of my supporting documentation I will provide. I will not go on hear say. Only on what I can support in documentation and I hope you can request he do the same which will satisfy this inquiry.

Eco Turf Georgia Response • Dec 03, 2019

Eco Turf should not be held responsible for the accusations he is claiming, as none of the treatments provided caused the fungus on his lawn. We provided treatments accordingly, the service we provided did not cause any damage to his lawn. Verbal Instructions were provided to both him and his wife as well as upon invoice and treatment follow ups via email. Again, Eco turf should not be held responsible for none followed instructions and none due diligence of the customer. We cannot provide false instructions only because the customer did not want to comply and accept the ones which were provided. I also cannot refer him to someone else without properly knowing to whom. We will not tolerate defamation and will take legal action. Eco Turf has over 200 happy customers and not once received a complaint as each customer has followed proper instructions. There is no contract making Eco Turf responsible for none followed instructions and negligence of the customer. We cannot emphasize enough; the treatments did not cause any damage to the lawn. As we also cannot control the weather nor what is being done after or before treatments.

Between 12/4 & 12/12 I did not receive a request for a response and the complaint was closed. Here is the detail of the complaint and as it demonstrates, the lack of response from the business when requested and the misdiagnosis is what caused the issues.

Case ID: XXXXXXXX
Password: *** payments are paid in full and have been for a while. The only payments ever with-held were due to no response and or for services that did not work and or not explained. Please request that ECOTURF provide their account ledger to show I was a timely account if needed.
The original commitment was that services that did not work would be credited or corrected and that based on the lawns needs, ECOTURF would treat/service to rectify any issues. Based on my current status that did not happen.
I have always advised to do whatever it would take to be the best lawn in the neighborhood at whatever cost necessary.
Began Service with ECOTURF on May 6th 2018.

8.21.19. ECOTURF advised that I did not need aeration.

4.17.19-ECOTURF stated that the issue was due to thatch-This was in response to my advising there was a fungus issue or something going on.
05.24.19 Text with photos of areas of concern. ECOTURF advised it was pet urine.

ECO Turf is not responsible to ask for a response, a response is required and requested by the Revdex.com as far as We know after our last response they should have given you 7 days to respond which did not happen and the case was dismissed. Could be the same reason invoices were never paid on time.

Thatch is not created by any of the products that We offer but by the improper cultural practices of the person mowing the lawn. ECO Turf ONLY offers services which we are licensed and experienced on, other services like thatch removal most be taken care of by the owner of the turf.

We do not have such a contract that makes us liable for any wrong doing of the client.

Invoices were NEVER paid on time, I have proof. I am not sure why Mr. keeps mentioning he always paid on time.

Slander is a crime and We will take legal action against the defamation and lies Mr. keeps providing.

We have proven his statements to be false and untruthful many times.
