Excellent - I would (and will) use them again I engaged BMGL to do a full bathroom renovation in a rental condo my wife and I own After water damage from the unit above made at least some wall and ceiling repair work necessary, we decided to renovate the entire bathroom, with new tub, vanity, fixtures, lighting, floor tiles, tub wall tiles, ceiling and drywall, etc Not a small job Sam did it on budget and on time This was the second job we asked Sam to do for us Previously, after another leak (in the kitchen - just lucky I guess!) he had replaced the laminate flooring throughout the unit, replaced damaged drywall, and rebuilt a custom kitchen cabinet He did that job so well and so reasonably that we went to him for the bathroom renovation Sam is conscientious and pays attention to detail As another reviewer has noted, English is not his first language, so sometimes communication requires a little work - especially on the phone - but don't let that deter you He truly has his customers' interests at heart, does not cut corners but follows code closely, all while delivering at a very reasonable price He took time to understand what we wanted, and to clarify frequently so that there were no surprises As well, he made it easy for us because we could not be onsite while the work was going on He picked up the tub and vanity we had chosen, paid for them himself and waited for us to reimburse him A very good guy My wife and I did a full renovation of a same-sized bathroom in Toronto several years ago, so we knew what to expect Sam's work was better and cost far less As well, he has a group of sub-trades (plumbing, electrical etc.) that he has worked with for years and trusts, with good reason - their work is up to his standards I'd have no hesitation in recommending him for his honesty and for the quality of his work

Sam worked very hard to undertstand and meet my requirementsEnglish is not his first language so on occasion communicating took a bit of effort but we managed very wellI was very impressed with Sam's knowledge and skillI learned that in his home country he was an electrical engineer, so the math critical for proper building is a breeze for himWhen I get into a debate about how I want something done and the contractor is arguing on the side of code, I'm impressedOnce you get into a job there are always adjustments to be made and discussion with Sam was easySam is very friendly, professional, and he and his team really know how to work
For my studio ceiling, Sam used plywood for strength screwed into the trusses, before gluing and brad-nailing a beadboard panel over topMy ceiling is beautiful and sturdy enough to hold as many lights and as much equipment as I want

Sam did extensive renovations in my home. He installed kitchen cabinets, tile backsplash, new countertops, and replaced the floor tiles in both my bathrooms. He also hung all the towel racks and replaced the baseboard throughout my home. Sam could do everything and he did everything very well. Sam took his time to ensure that my tiling both in the kitchen and on the floors was perfect. He basically rebuilt my entire kitchen and it looks fabulous. Sam works very hard and spent long hours working. He was always reliable. Overall I was really impressed with the quality of his work and I would highly recommend him to do any renovations, big or small.
