Review: On May9th I went to the Meineke to get my oil changed. When I came back to get my car I asked for a quote on a transmission flush & an A/C recharge. I was quoted $99.99 for the transmission flush & $89.99 for the A/C recharge. I told [redacted], the manager, that I will be back the following day. On May10th I called & spoke with someone about my quote & wanted to know how long was it going to take to complete the service. He replied an hour & a half @ most, then we hung up. I arrived @ Meineke, I told [redacted] I was there for my quoted service. He began to type into the computer, after a few seconds began to apologize saying the offer on the quote was good only for the previous day, now the flush was $156. I asked him that why hadn't he told me that the day before when I clearly told him I would be back the following. He then said it wasn't up to him, that Meineke only shows the promos not dates they are good for, but would be able to use the $20 off on $200+ service. I told [redacted] that I couldn't afford that & to honor the quote. He began to talk down to me & said to come back in an hr or so. I called another Meineke from home asking if what [redacted] was doing was company policy. I was told by the other Meineke location that he is a scam artist & that Meineke does free diagnostic on A/C, to ensure the recharge service is needed, & honor the $99 transmission quote. It had now been over an hour so I called to see how much longer & to ask why he didn't offer the same as the other locations. He told me it would be about another hour & a half, the trans. flush was in process, then began to freak out about me calling another location. I got to the shop & tried to reason with him on why he wasn't following policy. He was being very short, he said the A/C recharge wasn't completed, something isn't working so he was only going to charge $49.99 "A/C service"(not free diagnostic),& didn't have to discounted @ all after I called another store. Resulting in my total being $156 what he wanted to charge for the flushDesired Settlement: I want to be refunded for the $49.99 charge, I requested A/C recharge and that service was not performed. I was charged in full ($156) for my transmission flush not my quoted price ($99), was degraded as a person and a woman, and was not satisfied. I was belittled and disregarded by Meineke Customer Service department and the store.

We acknowledge proper paperwork procedure was not followed but we did perform services charged for. This complaint has already been resolved through the Bureau of Automotive Repair.

Review: The issues is this: Meineke Econo Lube, 6990 Watt Ave. on 4/20/15 had a large banner hanging in front of their business with the words "oil change $19.00". I had the oil in my P.U. truck and they charged me $25.00.

1) this business said $19.00

2) I furnished my own oil & filter

3) I have had the oil changed there before, bringing in my own oil & filter & it cost me $20.00.

4) So why the extra $5.00 on 4/20/15?Desired Settlement: They owe me $5.00 will you resolve this for me?

I bring my own oil because that is the kind of oil I use in my truck. I want the $5.00 back.

Please refer to the unsigned estimate work order which you mailed to our office. The estimate was created 2/5/2015 @ 12:52:28 PM.As of March 1, 2015, Econo Lube & Tune increased Labor Time to $100 per hour. When we do an Oil Change the labor time takes 15 to 20 minutes. Are charge for that is $25.00. In addition, we have a banner that states that an oil change starts at $19.95. SEE INSIDE FOR DETAILS OFFER JUST FOR SMALL CARS.On April 20, 2015, [redacted] agreed to pay $25 for service on a 2002 Chevrolet Truck Silverado 1500 PU and signed said work order.
