The tale given in Econo Lodge East's reply isn't the same tale I was given when I spoke in person to clerk at check in and also the manager (Pat) on the phoneI was given all kinds of excuses at to why they couldn't return my money"Their card machine couldn't credit my account" was the first reasonWhen I asked for a check, the manager wasn't allowed to write checksWhen I asked to speak to the owner I was told he was out of the countryI have contacted my bank twice and they aren't aware of any authorization needed from themMy bank, Union Bank in Hazen, ND, will be contacting their debit card company to check into this issueI want my money back and I want this outfit running this motel to come clean and be honest with peopleThank you! Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2015/12/17) */ The young lady stayed at the hotel and signed the paperwork at check in that states our no smoking policyDuring the night she brought several people in her room At am we got a complaint of smoking and the front desk did a room check , the room reaked of marijauna so the person in the room who was a guest of [redacted] was told to leaveThe cops where called and also smelled the marijauna in the room [redacted] signed the paperwork agreeing to pay dollars if anyone smoked in the room , she is responsible for anyone in that room , she admitted in one of her several phone calls to my hotel that yes she did bring that girl to the room and that she was a guest of hersShe also claimed she checked out of the room at am but she never came to the front desk to let us know she was checking out she just left her keys inside the room and left leaving our front desk person thinking she was still in the room She has since that day called many many times yelling at my staff and myself , cussing them out and a few days in a row kept calling and calling asking for me Patti the manager but I was busy so she kept calling and calling tieing up my bussiness phone line for several hours at a timeShe has called threatening my staff harrassing my front desk people She signed the papers agreeing to our policys , she brought the guest to the room even stopped at the front desk with the person she is now claiming should not have been in the room , she took her to the room , she never came to the desk to check out, never came to the desk to state the guest should not be in the room , she never came to the desk to say she was leaving and no one should be in the room including the guest she had brought in , and because of this we had no way of knowing she had left , as far as we last knew she was bringing the person who was in her room smoking in as her guest and she is held responsible for anyone she brings into the room In one of her phone calls to the hotel she states she was recording the call in which she does state that she did bring the guest to the room and also admits she never came to the front desk to check out just left the keys in the room is what she stated Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 7, 2015/12/17) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) yes I did state that I had a woman with me at the hotel that night and she also left with mewhen we both left the hotel at about 3am my keys were in the room so neither myself or anyone else would of had access to re-enter the room unless a key was received by an employeeI was the only one who was registered to the room so there for I should of been the only one able to get another key from the front deskAfter we both left the room at 3am I never returned, the woman I was with clearly returned and received a key from the front desk which should have never been given to her because she was not registered on the room regardless if I was seen with this woman she had no right to my roomA key was given to her if she was kicked out of the roomCameras will show that someone gave her access to the room which should have never been allowed

When I asked for a check, the manager wasn't allowed to write checks. When I asked to speak to the owner I was told he was out of the country. I want my money back and I want this outfit running this motel to come clean and be honest with people. Thank you!

The 53.00 was a authorazation. The only amount the hotel received was the room charge. The authorazation should have been put back on the persons card within 5 bussiness days. That amount is held by the bank and does not come to the bussiness and we can not refund an amount we do not receive. It is an isssue she will have to go thru the bank to get resolved. We have never had an issue of the authorazation not going back onto someones card before. Attached is the guest folio showing the amount we charged and received.
