Dear Sir/ Madam,We replaced customers ice maker under their home warranty on May 15, all warranty is days parts and labor We received another request for service on September 8., regarding the ice maker from her home warranty company at this time we went out and replaced the ice maker at no charge even though it was over the day warranty period Her home warranty company contacted us again on January 23, to advise us she was having the issues again however she was out of warranty with them and it would be customer responsibility to have the repairs At this it is also out of our day warrantyWe contacted the customer and she advised us she was not going to pay that she felt it should be at no cost to her At this time we do not know what the actual problem is because customer refuses to pay service charge of to check the unit out we do not know if ice maker is even the issueWe are sorry she is having problems but her home warranty contact is up and our day parts and labor warranty is also up at this timeAt this time we can be of no help to the customer.Thank you [redacted] Owner

The customer has a home warranty contract on their home that covers the gas rangeWe were hired to check a mechanical problem with the rangeDuring the inspection, a small plastic piece of trim was broken on the side of the range and the gas line developed a leak Customer accepted and was paid $for the broken gas lineThe range cannot be repaired, mechanicallyThe home warranty company is exercising their option to do a buyout of this rangeCustomer will receive money toward the purchase of a new range, per their home warranty contract, as range cannot be repaired mechanicallyCustomer requested $1,payment for the broken piece of plastic, for a range that cannot be repaired mechanically and will eventually be replacedWe consider this totally unreasonable and decline the request for paymentEven if plastic part was available, it would be impractical to replace a part on a year old range that is going to be replaced by their home warranty company Thank you for your time in this matter

The warranty that I paid for ($per year) is willing to provide me with a maximum of $towards the replacement of my stovetop The stovetop and oven are connected (a GE profile) and I would not have to replace them at this time, were it not for Economic Appliance's damages To provide an example, a comparable oven/stovetop today costs $ I opted for a lesser model, which cost $plus tax on sale so I am out around $for the oven that I would not have had to spend at this time. Thanks,

Economic
Appliance is downplaying and dismissing the damage that their company
causedBefore the company came to repair my range, I had a usable
ovenThrough negligence, Economic Appliance broke a substantial
piece off the oven and separately broke my gas line
The
gas leak from the gas line break was disruptive and put both my home
and life at riskAfter putting up a fight, Economic Appliance has
paid for the gas line to be repairedStill,
the company refuses to do anything about the oven damage
The
home warranty that I paid for is a mute point and does not excuse or
compensate me for Economic Appliance's damagesFirst, Economic
Appliance is the one recommending that I replace, rather than repair
Second, the warranty that I bought can give me an optional small
portion towards range replacement (this would have been the same if
Economic Appliance had not broken my appliance), however, my oven no
longer fits into the counter space and the front knob plate is
hanging off so replacement is no longer an optional decision
Similarly,
the fact that the piece Economic Appliance broke is not made any more
does not excuse the company from compensating me for their damage
If the company does not feel that it should be responsible
for replacing the entire oven, then how much would they like to offer
me?

We will send out copies of the work orders to Mrs*** today February 5,

Since Economic Appliance damaged my oven and gas line, my warranty company advised me to address the repair company directly At this point, Economic Appliance has paid for the gas line repair, but still has yet to address the fact that they damaged my appliance If Economic Appliance continues to refuse a settlement for the oven damage, I will be taking this matter to small claims court next

The company was hired and paid to fix a problem It did not The repair person (a very nice man that treated me with nothing but professionalism) did not find the actual problem It is strange to me that a company would want to keep getting paid when it did not figure out the problem the first three times at my house However, the warranty company has reversed its position in light of a Revdex.com complaint and has accepted that the claim was made within the warranty period and will send another company to evaluate what is actually wrong with the refrigerator I will suspend/postpone the complaint against Economic Appliance at this time My only request at this time is for Economic Appliance to provide documentation of the three service visits (two repairs) The new repair company will need to know what was done to assure the same mistakes are not made again Also, while the complaint was made on September 8, 2014, the actual new ice maker took roughly weeks to be installed and was in October I would like copies of the work order as well as the information on the ice maker currently in the refrigerator

Concerning Damage to range, we were hired by the Mrs. [redacted] home warranty company to inspect andrepair range. We were not hired by Mrs. [redacted].Any additional concerns regarding the range need to be addressed with Mrs. [redacted] home warrantycompany.Mrs. [redacted] home warranty is making an offer to replace the range. All further correspondence must gothru the home warranty company.Concerning the broken gas line we immediately and without hesitation paid Mrs. [redacted] , one hundreddollars (100.00) by check ([redacted]) on November 05,2014 for reimbursement for broken gas line.As far as we are concerned we have taken responsibility for our portion of damages. We have been informed by their home warranty company that Mrs. [redacted] has accepted a check for theirrange replacement.Thank you for your time in this matter.Sincerely,[redacted]

Dear Sir/ Madam,We replaced customers ice maker under their home warranty  on May 15, 2014  all warranty is 90 days parts and labor.  We received another request for service on September 8., 2014  regarding the ice maker from  her home warranty company at this time we went...

out and replaced the ice maker at no charge even though it was over the 90 day warranty period.  Her home warranty company contacted us again on January 23, 2015 to advise us she was having the issues again however she was out of warranty with them and it would be customer responsibility to have the repairs . At this it is also out of our 90 day warranty. We contacted the customer and she advised us she was not going to pay that she felt it should  be at no cost to her.  At this time we do not know what the actual problem is because customer refuses to pay service charge of 64.45 to check the unit out we do not know if ice maker is even the issue. We are sorry she is having problems but her home warranty contact is up and our 90 day parts and labor warranty is also up at this time. At this time we can be of no help to the customer.Thank you [redacted] Owner

I have attached a copy of the receipt from my home warranty, the warranty itself in detail, and pictures of some of the oven damage from Economic Appliance.Thank you,

Business owner [redacted] called Revdex.com about this complaint and said they will not be addressing this issue again. He said the part they damaged on the consumer's range was trim and did not affect the mechanical workings of it. Since the damage done was cosmetic and they have reimbursed consumer for the gas line leak they caused, he stands by his earlier response that they have no further responsibility in the matter. The home warranty company has sent consumer a check toward replacement of the stove, and he is declining consumer's request for further payment.

The customer has a home warranty contract on their home that covers the gas range. We
were hired to check a mechanical problem with the range. During the inspection, a small
plastic piece of trim was broken on the side of the range and the gas line developed a leak.
Customer accepted and was paid...

$100.00 for the broken gas line. The range cannot be
repaired, mechanically. The home warranty company is exercising their option to do a buyout
of this range. Customer will receive money toward the purchase of a new range, per their
home warranty contract, as range cannot be repaired mechanically. Customer requested
$1,000.00 payment for the broken piece of plastic, for a range that cannot be repaired
mechanically and will eventually be replaced. We consider this totally unreasonable and
decline the request for payment. Even if plastic part was available, it would be impractical to
replace a part on a 20 year old range that is going to be replaced by their home warranty
company.
Thank you for your time in this matter.
