I met [redacted] and she had a girl friend there [redacted] started by telling me about the history of her A/C unitLooking at this ton package unit I saw the duct for the return air was completely smashed flatIt did not have a Heat Pump thermostatSo, talking to [redacted] and friend, because her friend was asking questions as wellI told them that it looks like an easy $to $Which was a ball park figureThen they asked how much would it cost to charge the unit? Because it had no freon and one of the other men [redacted] had there before me said it would cost $Well the unit holds 11lbs and @ $per lbthat would be about rightSo, I went thru the unit like she askedI found the leak which took 5lbs of 410A freon to get some pressure in the unitEvacuated the system and charged unitSo I used at least lbs of freonI had to at least break even, again trying to help her out and charged $for that freonAll I did was install the proper materials and hooked everything upGot the unit going and working like its supposed to workI walked thru everything as far how to operate the thermostatJob Done1-22-She was so happy she hugged my neckShe also left a message on my answering machine about how happy she was and that the unit was running greatI made an arrangement to come by 1-25-afternoon to collect at least $that's what the total wasThen I realized I did not have the 410A freon and told her I was sorry I over looked it and she agreedSo, Monday evening I went to her home and she gave $I was expecting at least $Then she said her daughter broke her glasses at school today and that's when I said, " And how is that my problem?" Anyway, I made a notation on my invoice and had her initial itThen she told me to come back early on 1-28-early morning and she would have the rest of my moneySo, about 8:Thursday morning I went back to her houseI thought was not early, but kind of on the late sideShe finally opened the door, we said "Good Morning", The she turned and walked into the kitchen and sits downWell after a long while, I asked for my payment and she said, "Does it look like I got your Money!?" Well, She just got out of bed, but she told me to be there earlyThen she said, "I'll meet you at the bank at 9:I said great! So, in the parking lot she brought me the rest of my moneyI said, "Thank You" and gave her the invoicePrior to that [redacted] left me a message to call her, she had a questionThat was on 1-26-and she left another one on the 27thWell, I was busy and had been getting in lateShe stated that everything was working great I was a little irritated because I was at least expecting $and I was paid $So, I figured early Thursday morning I would answer any questions she may haveThat Thursday morning at her house she starts in to me about why I did not call her backWell, that is whyBack at the bank parking lot, after she paid me, I was trying to talk to her and just explain why I was a little perturbedBut I didn't get the words out and she was yelling at me"You were supposed to have been at my house at 8:You didn't get there until 10:30." etc.ectI said calmly, "Your yelling at me." She just kept yellingThere is no talkingThen I drove offAnd this is when everything is working great with her unitSo, In Feb., not sure of the dateShe left a message that the unit is not workingAt this point I have no obligation to her and she can call one of those other guys she called before me All I did was hook up everything like it should beI have no obligation to that equipmentI did not install itIf the duct work came loose, that would be my responsibilty and I would have no problem standing behind behind my workWhat I did is bullet proofShe has other problems that don't have anything to do with me or the work I performedAlso, I was there Thursday morningMy helper and I were loading my tool trailer with everything I could possibly use out of my shop for her jobGot to her house about 10:am My helper was there all dayI went to my shop t build duct board boxes that I needed to hook up duct for the unit to the houseAlso after my ballpark figure of the job cost, she called me that night and asked if I could run the ducting in metal pipe instead of flexIt's a lot more work, but I said, "sure"I did not make a dime on any materials or partsMaterials were over $ My Cost $ Helper $ $ Freon $In Feb., not sure of the dateShe left a messageI did not want to respondShe came to my shop telling me her "unit don't work and I need to fix it." I told her, I was not going back." I just want to make everything clearI had another company come to fix the ac problem I was havingHe was very informativeHe inspected ***'s work and told me that he did do everything thing that was asked*** did a good job that was never the problemPunctuality and his people skills are the things he needs to work onOh n yes I did call him the day after and told him it was working great, and it did for about daysThat's when I called him and he never called backAlso when I was given the to ballpark figure it did include the freon he said cause his words were"It would take yrs for that much freon to leak out" and he stuck by his estimateLike I said before, he does an awesome job but don't expect him to be nice to you or hold to his estimatesAlso the problem with my ac unit he refused to fix was it was completely out of freonSo I paid $for absolutely nothingThank you all including you ***.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11140803, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me

asking questions as well. I told them that it looks like an easy $700 to $800. Which was a ball park figure. Then they asked how much would it cost to charge the unit? Because it had no freon and one of the other 3 men [redacted] had there before me said it would cost $450. Well the unit holds 11lbs and @ $45.00 per lb. that would be about right. So, I went thru the unit like she asked. I found the leak which took 5lbs of 410A freon to get some pressure in the unit. Evacuated the system and charged unit. So I used at least 16 lbs of freon. I had to at least break even, again trying to help her out and charged $200 for that freon. All I did was install the proper materials and hooked everything up. Got the unit going and working like its supposed to work. I walked thru everything as far how to operate the thermostat. Job Done. 1-22-2016 She was so happy she hugged my neck. She also left a message on my answering machine about how happy she was and that the unit was running great.
