I am writing in response to the complaint received from Melinda ***. It's hard to respond to these complaint's when what they are stating is false. We did not overcharge on services provided to Melinda. Charges and notes are put in for a patient only after they are checked in to
system. If patient is not here our system does not allow charges to be put in. So all charges are accurate.To my knowledge we never received any calls/messages left from Melinda. On numerous occasions we tried contacting her when monthly statements went out asking for payment on account with no response from her.When Melinda came in for service's with insurance *** *** *** *** claims (only for when she was here) were filed to her insurance company. She had $deductible (that had not been met) and than was responsible for 20% of charges. Melinda agreed to pay $per month towards her balance. She paid nothing. Services provided to her were from December 2, - February 5, 2014. Again no payments received from Melinda. When she stopped care she did not respond to any monthly statements or phone calls. Due to no response from Melinda in over years her account was sent to our Collection Attorney. She did respond to him with her stating she will pay if we give her a reduction. Melinda owed $1,042.83. She asked to only pay $800.00. We did agree to that. Melinda was to pay $on May 23, and the 20th of each month after. Melinda did make her first payment of $in May. June payment was returned insufficient funds. She did make payment in July, and there was no payment in August. Melinda wanted this removed from collection. It was removed from collections that is why we are having an attorney work these account. What I believe she is asking is to have it removed from the credit bureau. Per Trans Union we cannot remove it because it has been over years since it has been listed. All we can do is have it marked paid. That request was given to them / record should indicate paid.All of this could have been prevented if Melinda would have contacted our office when she agreed to make payments and never did. We actually have another account here from when Melinda was on Medical Assistance that she did not have active coverage we we had to repay the insurance company for services we provided her.It's not worth pursuing her on this matter. I personally would like to state this is so unfair that accusations are made and business reputations are ruined because of someone not honoring there obligations.Thank you for your time in this matter.
