Continued to charge for service after my one year contract was complete and refused to refund money for the extra months that were charged. First of all I signed a one year contract when all I really needed was 6 months of service. I was meticulous in getting all information about monthly payments and the exact time that the contract would end. I was explicitly clear with the sales/service person that I could not really afford this and wanted to to absolutely sure of the terms and conditions. He assured me of the ending date and gave clear instructions about when and how much bank drafts would be. So not only were the bank drafts for different amounts and different times than he told us, but they have continued to charge us for a total of 3 extra months as of now. I have tried to contact the sales office and inform them of their mistake and get a refund for those three months and they told me that once a year contract is up they move to a month to month contract and keep charging your account. I told them that I was very clear about not wanting service any longer than necessary and would be totally done after the year. He said their was nothing he could do for me and would not refund the overcharged money. The manager was extremely rude and unhelpful and I am very upset about these bad business practices. Desired SettlementI want the three months of overcharges refunded to my bank account. Business Response /[redacted]/We performed pest control service for one year per the agreement that was signed by customer. The agreement had no special instructions written by salesperson to stop service after one year period. Our service agreement reads "this contract is for an initial term of ONE YEAR, and shall continue thereafter month to month until terminated by either party". Customer initialed next to this section of the agreement. We performed services after the one year agreement had been fulfilled and customer was charged for these services. Customer did not inform our company to stop the service after the initial one year had been completed. This is why we continued service and drafting the customer's account. Customer called our office to stop the agreement three months after the one year agreement had been fulfilled.We also performed rodent proofing for customer, and customer agreed to pay for the repairs in four equal payments. This is why customer was bank drafted for different amounts at different times. We will resolve this complaint by refunding the customer the three months service charges.
