Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:The owner of the business just made my point that his business is crooked and at no time did he address the problem that I brought against themHe stated my wife and myself was rude to his employeesWe only encountered one employee who was rude to us and when we tried to ask questions she did not want to answerWhen we were out at the lot where the truck was my wife at no time accused the business that they stole the itemsIt was the employee that was there started making statements that they do not steal and they do not do anything wrongMy wife tried to get a number for the owner and the employee refuse to give my wife the number but just call the number that was on the business windowMy wife then asked for the employees name and she refused to give us her name also.I have asked around about Economy Towing and this is not the first time that items came up missing in their yardThere was a truck towed to their lot and there were items missing from inside the truck and parts of the engine that were missingThere was also another tow company **'s Towing that use to share the same lot and quit using the lot because some of his vehicles that he towed to the lot had items come up missing.Since the owner does not want to acknowledge that there is a problem we have also contacted the Missouri Attorney Generals office and filed a complaint with them and also talked with Columbia Police Department about the items that were missing out of the vehicle and the used condom that was placed on the back seatThe owner is coming after me trying to tell me that it was my fault that my step son had an accident and that it is my fault about everythingif he wants to keep on putting up a smoke screen to keep the fault of the items missing then he needs to be held accountable about his employees and how he runs his business
Sincerely,

vehicle towed.  We have called Mr. [redacted] and have left a message with the same requested information but have not yet heard from him.

On October 7, 2016, our office was contacted by the Columbia Police Department to pick up a vehicle that was involved in an accident. Upon arrival, a teenage male was indicated as the driver of the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado. There were several people being rushed to the emergency room. This was a...

pretty serious accident. The police ordered the vehicle removed, and non one on scene was willing to pay for the service at the time. In these cases, the vehicle is to go to impound. A few days later Mr. [redacted] and his wife came to the lot to clean out their personal items. Upon arrival they were intolerable, being very rude and disrespectful to employees. They then began to accuse our employees of being thieves, claiming that a ring, and a hitch were missing from the vehicle. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items, but we do not steal. The vehicle was not in their possession prior to the accident, but rather the possession of their teenage son. They claim to have also found a used condom in the back sear of their truck, and accused our employees of using their vehicle to have sex, but again, the vehicle was in the possession of their teenage son prior to the accident. They have no idea what was, or was not in the vehicle prior to the accident. Mr. [redacted] lacked having full coverage insurance to cover the towing and storage, and did not want to pay the bill. He was given the option of signing over the title to settle the bill, I which he did in fact do. We will not be giving Mr. [redacted] any money on top of the settlement of the bill. The $25.00 clean up charge was for clean up on scene, and the cleaning of our tow truck, as their vehicle was leaking fluids all over our bed, which will cause damage to our equipment, if not properly cleaned. When you lack full coverage insurance, the burden of the bill is on the owner of the vehicle. Mr. [redacted] allowed his teenage son to take possession of his vehicle, wreck the vehicle, and then blame anyone but themselves. If Mr. [redacted] really thinks that we would take his hitch, he is more than welcome to come out to our salvage yard and pick a hitch of his choice from the thousands that we already have, and do not need.
