Review: On 3/27/15 we gave [redacted] III a check for $1,200 - deposit for material needed for our couches, he asked we make the check personally to him as he is part owner of this place,a contract was signed (#[redacted]). He said the fabric would be in one week. We called every week for 3 weeks -he kept telling us it would be in next week, nothing. On 4/17/15 he called and said the material was in and would call back later to pick up the couches. We personally went that day to Economy Upholstery to see the fabric, and then he said it was not in. We then requested to cancel the job and to be refunded the deposit that he had cashed on 3/28/15. He told us he would come to our house and return the money on Saturday 4/18/15, his father was the one that wrote the checks. He called Saturday and told us he didn't have the money, but he will be here Monday (4/20). He is now starting the same run-around story with the refund. Too many lies!Desired Settlement: We just want our deposit money back, $1,200. I have filed a claim with my bank, but they said there is not much they can do. SDPD said it's not a criminal matter & maybe Revdex.com could help. Small claims court will be more expensive, and time consuming and want to leave as last resort.
