*** *** *** *** *** ***Attached to this email, please find photos that highlight the broken tiles in the kitchen These pictures were taken on July 7th, by a third party company prior to ECOS entering the residence to start restoration work These pictures were also given to the insurance carrier because the homeowner and tenant requested funds to pay for their broken kitchen tiles I have asked them for photo documentation but have yet to receive any photos that are time stamped and dated. Iron wrought screen door was not severely damaged given the various emails, texts, etcI have towards the end of the project in November The tenant was more concerned about their indoor air quality and wanted their air ducts cleaned As a final punch list item, ECOS paid $out of pocket to have all of the air ducts cleaned (see attachment labeled Ductworks Invoice) More specifically, the iron wrought screen door piece was not damaged enough to warrant a full replacement or upgrade I have requested photo documentation from homeowner and tenant on why they purchased a brand new one, but have yet to receive any photos that are time stamped and dated I actually believe that this piece of property was stolen from their residence and that is the reason why they purchased a brand new iron wrought screen door. The homeowner and tenant repeatedly questioned our company and I about the indoor air quality of their residence They went so far as to say that they did not believe that we finished the job properly and wanted money back to pay for additional work They sent me the last attached pictures as proof of not finishing the job properly & wrote a brief message “MrL***, This is the area that was missed.” The photo has a time stamp of 9/30/which greatly confused ECOS staff because we completed our work in November Why would the homeowner & tenant send us a dated photo from years earlier to say we missed this area? I responded by providing written documentation that highlighted that our scope of work was successfully completed and received final air clearances from an independent third party industrial hygienist (IH) Specifically, I sent the attached FAC dated 11/10/& PRV dated 11/12/ Later, I found out that the homeowner and tenant hired another IH company to test the residence for the presence of mold and asbestos I am not sure who paid for this testing which can be expensive Thankfully, this company provided them with further assurance that the residence did not have mold and/or asbestos. In summary, I have asked to move forward by receiving photo documentation but haven’t received time stamped photos of the broken kitchen tiles, iron wrought screen door, etc I am looking forward to resolving this matter in an amicable fashion as demonstrated by the large amount of time I have invested and our company has invested trying to resolve it.Sincerely,James L***

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:Mr. L[redacted] is not being truthful.1. Mrs. [redacted] may have mentioned me in her complaint because you and your office manager Jaymie came to my home stating how sorry you were regarding your incompetent employees throwing away her families hard goods. Is this an honest statement? Shortly after that, did you not send me flowers?2. You are continuing to stick with your statement of "us being angry with the insurance company". Yet you have not once made any statements showing any accountability for what your company did to my property. I did not need my that kitchen remodeled. It was remolded in 2014. So, please stay focused on what you do know. 3. You sent me and Mrs. [redacted] an e-mail of photos showing all items in the house. The photos are dated August 22, 2015. Mr. [redacted] was on the property in July of 2015. Is that true or False? On the photos your employees took, shows the tile at the end of the kitchen in tack. In the photo that you have a copy of, look at the piece of " your companies equipment" that is sitting on the kitchen floor.  4. You do know your company broke the side gate, wrought-iron screen door, gutter spout next to the side gate, and left temporary agency staff (who were considered homeless) on the property unsupervised. We do believe they were squatting on my property because of candles left on the kitchen stove top and in the window seal in the master bedroom. The candle broke and caused the wax to drip down the wall that had to be repainted in May of 2016 ( it had just been painted in 2014) and the broken lower cabinet door that had a blanket stuffed under it. I don't believe your company would be working in the evening. If they were, the electricity was working. You need to be responsible for what your employees have done.  You were paid over $40 k for incomplete work and not following the scope of work. The only anger I have is related to you and your lack of character. Go back and look at the pictures you sent. One of your employees is standing in the picture. If Mr. [redacted] has pictures of the kitchen and he said the tile at the edge of the kitchen is broken on his photos, he is not being honest either. If any of these statements I made including the photos are false, provide Revdex.com and myself your proof that my statements are false.Regards,[redacted]

[redacted] -Per our conversation on Friday, please be aware that the Mrs....

[redacted] complaint is apart of the complaint already sent to Revdex.com by Mrs. [redacted].  They both refer to each other in their Revdex.com complaints.  Mrs. [redacted] is the owner of the property and Mrs. [redacted] is the tenant who both have major grievances with the insurance company that paid for the vast majority of their loss.  Their anger towards their insurance company has now turned into complaints with the Revdex.com about our company 9 to 10 months after we finished working in their residence on November 12th, 2015. Regarding the kitchen tiles, ECOS did not take the photos that Mrs. [redacted] is referring to; instead, these photos were taken by [redacted] who owns [redacted] and entered the residence prior to getting ECOS involved with this insurance claim. Unfortunately, Mrs. [redacted] is trying to remodel her kitchen floor tiles and have the [redacted] paid by her insurance company who denied her this coverage.  The insurance company denied coverage because they saw the time stamped photos that [redacted] took prior to calling ECOS.  Now, Mrs. [redacted] is attempting to have ECOS pay for the broken kitchen floor tiles that were broken before our company entered her residence. Please confirm receipt of this email. Thanks and have a nice day,James

Ecos Environmental & Disaster Restoration (“ECOS”)...

is celebrating its 10th year anniversary this year.  This is the first Revdex.com complaint that ECOS has received from a customer in our Roaring Fork Valley region which covers Glenwood Springs to Aspen.

ECOS is an [redacted] certified firm with [redacted] certified employees that follow industry standards to safely restore customer's homes after the impact ** water, mold and/or fire damage. ECOS also strives to provide the highest quality ** customer service & satisfaction.  In 2012, ECOS received the Business ** the Year Award from the [redacted] due to its high quality ** customer service & satisfaction.

The first job ECOS performed for [redacted] was a success because she called us again as a repeat customer for a second job on July 11th, 2014.  The first job was billed as a carpet cleaning job that required the use ** only one fan for one day while the second job ECOS performed required several pieces ** equipment, including air movers and dehumidifiers.  More specifically, the second job we did for [redacted] was billed using insurance industry standards dictated by Xactimate & we provided her with a 50% discount on the equipment.  Both the complexity and the necessity ** equipment usage for the second job deemed the job more expensive than the first but unfortunately [redacted] did not give ECOS a chance to explain the difference in the two bills.  Instead, the first time we heard about a billing concern from [redacted] was when we received a complaint letter from the Revdex.com on August 12th, 2014.  Negative reviews on the internet can severely damage the reputation ** a small business, so one can only imagine the disappointment at our firm that we were not given a chance to negotiate a price with [redacted] and instead had to respond to a Revdex.com complaint letter.

ECOS aims to have happy customers and thus we regularly discuss billing concerns with our clients and negotiate the price when the customer is not covered by insurance.
Soon after receiving the Revdex.com complaint, we called [redacted] to explain the differences between her first and second job and in order to provide the highest level ** customer satisfaction, ECOS settled on billing the second job at a discount to try to make [redacted] a happy repeat customer.
